- It you're interested in this amazing feat of human determination, the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum (Bao Tang Duong Ho Chi Minh; Hwy 6; admission 10,000d; 7.30-11am & 1.30-4pm Tue-Sun) is an introduction to the famous supply route from the communist north to the occupied south of Vietnam. There is a great model of the trail, which shows the nightmarish terrain through which it passed. It is located about 13km southwest of Hanoi and can be combined with a visit to Van Phuc handicraft village (right), or visited on the way to the Perfume Pagoda.
