Tiger Island, located in the Hau River, is best known as the birthplace of Ton Duc Thang, Vietnam’s second president. In My Hoa Hung Village, visitors can explore his well-preserved childhood home and the Ton Duc Thang Exhibition House, which provides a fascinating glimpse into his life and contributions.

Inside the exhibition, you’ll find historical photographs, personal artifacts, and memorabilia, including the leg irons he wore in Con Dao prison, his prime-ministerial bicycle, and the airplane that flew him from Hanoi to Saigon in 1975 to celebrate Vietnam’s reunification.

Beyond its historical significance, Tiger Island is a peaceful, unspoiled retreat with lush greenery and a laid-back atmosphere. Homestays are available for those wanting to experience the island’s authentic rural lifestyle. A visit here offers both a historical journey and a serene escape from the bustling city.
