Leaving Sambor Prei Kuk, we'll continue our journey to Baray village. Take a short rest to rejuvenate before embarking on a captivating half-day tour of Phnom Penh. Visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, located within the palace grounds, which showcase stunning Khmer architecture and cultural treasures. Embark on a captivating cycling adventure today as we pedal approximately 10km to Koh Dach, crossing the Mekong River on a charming ferry. Once on the island, we'll cycle through scenic orchards, quaint villages, and vibrant vegetable farms until we reach the riverside beach. Take a moment to relax, swim, and savor local delicacies from the floating hut (at your own expense). In the afternoon, hop on a Tuk Tuk for a visit to the poignant Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This former high school turned prison was a haunting center of detention and torture during the Khmer Rouge regime. Our journey continues to the infamous Killing Fields at Choeung Ek, a sobering site where over 17,000 individuals tragically lost their lives.
