Hanoi, Sapa
Beginning and concluding in Hanoi, the 3-Night Sapa Trek and Homestay with Round Trip Transfer from Hanoi is a 3-day tour package that leads you through Hanoi, Vietnam, and Sapa. It offers accommodation in a hotel, guidance from an expert, meals, transportation, and additional amenities.
Prepare yourself at the hotel lobby by 8:00 p.m., where our tour guide and driver will gather to escort you for a brief transfer to Hanoi Station, boarding the overnight train destined for Lao Cai City.
Alternatively, in the event of unavailable train services, you'll embark on the sleeper cabin bus journey to Lao Cai.
Upon your early arrival at Lao Cai Station, a shared minivan will be waiting to take you uphill to Sapa, a journey lasting over an hour. After freshening up and enjoying breakfast at a local restaurant, you're free to explore this charming town. You can visit the Sapa market and the old cathedral, encountering local ethnic minority people such as the Black H’mong and Red Zao, clad in their vibrant traditional attire, offering farming and gathering products, as well as handicrafts for souvenirs. Around 10:30 a.m., return to our Sapa office to begin your exploration of Muong Hoa Valley.
Following the main road southward for approximately an hour, you'll veer onto a downhill footpath leading to Muong Hoa Valley. This segment showcases the stunning scenery of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, and on clear days, you may catch a glimpse of Fansipan Peak. After crossing the river via a suspension bridge, you'll trek uphill to Y Linh Ho village, observing the daily activities of H’mong families. Following a picnic lunch, the trail continues with undulating terrain for about 2 hours, leading you to Lao Chai, a sizable H’mong village. You'll then trace the riverbank to Ta Van, home to the Zay people, visiting local residences and village schools. This cultural immersion amidst the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley culminates in an overnight homestay in Ta Van village.
Accommodation: Homestay in Ta Van Village
Depart from Ta Van village, ascending the trail that winds through captivating terraced rice fields and small H’mong settlements. Traverse a bamboo forest and pause at a waterfall, soaking in the breathtaking scenery before continuing for around thirty minutes to Giang Ta Chai village. Perched atop a hill, this village of the Red Zao overlooks the Muong Hoa river. Spend time exploring the village, connecting with the Zao people, and embracing their warm hospitality.
Cross the river via another suspension bridge and ascend to Hau Thao village, where a local handicraft center awaits. Here, H’mong and Zao women gather to exchange skills and experiences in crafting. A late lunch is arranged nearby, allowing you time to relax and engage with local schoolchildren and their teachers. At 9 p.m., board the overnight train from Lao Cai station, arriving at Hanoi station around 5:30 a.m. the following day.
