Welcome to Siem Reap! After your arrival, your guide will greet you at the airport and help with the transfer to your hotel for check-in. Please be aware that the usual check-in time is 14:00. If you arrive earlier, you may have the option to join an additional tour.
At 8:00am, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to start the day’s exploration. Begin with a visit to the South Gate, featuring massive statues that depict the churning of the ocean of milk. Continue to Angkor Thom, the ancient capital built in the late 12th century, and then proceed to Bayon Temple, renowned for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Next, explore Baphuon, an impressive structure that resembles an artificial mountain and has recently reopened after extensive restoration.
Following this, you can visit the Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Then, head to the famed Ta Prohm Temple, built between the late 12th and early 13th centuries, which gained additional fame as a filming location for the Tomb Raider movie.
Enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, visit the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat Temple, the largest religious monument in the world and the most venerated site in Angkor Park. The temple’s walls are covered in stunning stone carvings and bas-reliefs. Your guide will provide insights into these intricate details and give you plenty of time to explore both the inner sanctum and outer areas of the temple.
Conclude your special evening in Siem Reap with a Cambodian Traditional Circus show. More than just a circus, Phare’s performers blend theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts to narrate uniquely Cambodian stories—historical, folk, and contemporary. The young artists will captivate you with their remarkable energy, emotion, and talent.
At 8:30am, we will head to Tonle Sap Lake to explore the diverse activities in the floating villages, including crocodile farms, fishing operations, traditional medicine shops, boat workshops, spirit houses, and floating schools.
If time allows, you can visit Artisans D’Angkor, a local craft center dedicated to promoting Cambodian arts and crafts. Here, you'll learn about the processes behind wood and stone carvings, lacquering, gilding, and silk painting.
Afterward, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
