The tour continues with a visit to Wat Thmei, a memorial site for the victims of the Khmer Rouge, featuring a stupa filled with the remains of those who perished during 1975–1979. The day concludes at The Old Market, the oldest Khmer market in Siem Reap, where you can browse for souvenirs such as clothing, jewelry, and more.
Afterward, return to your hotel to relax and unwind for the evening.
Please note:
Appropriate attire is required in sacred places and temples, including covering shoulders and avoiding shorts or skirts above the knees. Additionally, the Top Tower (Level 3) of Angkor Wat is closed on religious Buddhist dates.
At 8:00am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel to begin the day’s adventure. Your guide will assist in getting you equipped with a bicycle and helmet before heading towards the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Angkor complex.
The tour starts at the South Gate, where you’ll see the impressive statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. From there, explore the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, built in the late 12th century, and continue to Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Next, visit Baphuon, an ancient structure resembling an artificial mountain, which has recently reopened after extensive restoration. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. The tour proceeds to the renowned Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its iconic trees entwined with the ruins and as a filming location for the Tomb Raider movie.
Enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple, the most celebrated site in Angkor Park and the world’s largest religious monument. The temple’s walls are adorned with intricate stone carvings and bas-reliefs that are truly awe-inspiring. Your guide will share the stories behind these exquisite details and give you ample time to explore both the inner sanctuaries and outer grounds of the temple. After the tour, you’ll be returned to your hotel.

At 8:30am, embark on a journey to Tonle Sap Lake, where you’ll explore the diverse activities of the floating villages, from crocodile farming to fishing operations, traditional medicine shops, boat workshops, spirit houses, floating schools, and more. Afterward, you’ll visit one of the town’s most beautiful pagodas, showcasing French colonial architecture and a large garden adorned with statues. Bring candles and incense sticks to participate in a private blessing ceremony for good luck, conducted by local monks residing at the temple.
Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, your adventure continues at the Angkor National Museum, an archaeological museum focused on the collection, preservation, and display of artifacts from the Angkorian period of the Khmer Empire, dating from the 9th to the 14th centuries. Most of the exhibits were discovered in and around the nearby Angkor archaeological sites. Next, visit the Angkor Silk Farm, a picturesque location 16km from Siem Reap, where you can observe local artisans at work in various silk workshops. The site offers an impressive exhibition center that showcases the entire silk production process, from start to finish. The tour concludes at West Baray, the largest man-made reservoir in Angkor Park (8 x 2.2 km). In ancient times, this reservoir was fed by fresh water from the Siem Reap and Puok Rivers.
To cap off your final evening in Siem Reap, you’ll attend a Cambodian Traditional Circus show. More than just a circus, Phare performers combine theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories, both historical and contemporary.
