Experience the highlights of Laos on this 5-day tour, beginning in the charming capital city of Vientiane. Discover its blend of French colonial architecture and traditional Laotian culture, including iconic landmarks such as That Luang Stupa and Patouxay. Then, journey to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its well-preserved temples, vibrant markets, and serene ambiance. Explore stunning attractions like the Pak Ou Caves and Kuang Si Waterfall. This tour offers a perfect combination of cultural immersion and natural beauty in two of Laos’ most captivating destinations.
Our half-day city tour starts with a visit to Wat Sisaket, the city's oldest temple, known for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. We will then proceed to the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which once housed the renowned Emerald Buddha. Next, we will explore the sacred That Luang Stupa and capture some photos of the grand Patuxay Monument, often referred to as Vientiane’s Arc de Triomphe.
Our tour concludes with a visit to the COPE Exhibition Centre, which sheds light on the impact of unexploded ordnance and mines on local communities. COPE also serves as a rehabilitation center for individuals with disabilities and provides training in prosthetics and orthotics.
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you'll be met and taken to your hotel.
Recognized by UNESCO as ‘the best-preserved city in Southeast Asia,’ Luang Prabang is a treasure trove of cultural heritage. We will begin by visiting the Royal Palace Museum, which showcases a fascinating collection of artifacts.
Our walking tour will lead us through some of Luang Prabang's hidden gems, including quiet backstreets that lead to Wat Xiengthong. Along the way, we'll stop at Wat Chomkhong, noted for its intricate carvings, and explore an area with a blend of beautiful old French Colonial architecture and traditional Lao homes, including the quaint Wat Phapai temple.
We’ll also visit the Fine Arts School to admire some of the exceptional artwork on display. The day concludes with a visit to the stunning Wat Xiengthong, renowned for its sweeping roofs and classic Luang Prabang architectural style.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we embark on a cruise upstream along the Mekong River, offering breathtaking views of the serene countryside.
Our first destination is the village of Ban Muangkeo, where we will take a brief trek to the enigmatic Pak Ou Caves. These two interconnected caves are filled with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of various sizes, left by devoted pilgrims over the years.
Along the way, we will make a stop at Ban Xanghai, renowned for its local rice wine, which you will have the opportunity to sample.
We then drive back to Luang Prabang, passing through Ban Nongxai, a village known for its artisans and a silversmith workshop.
We expect to return to Luang Prabang by mid-afternoon.

Departing from Luang Prabang with your private guide and driver, you’ll journey approximately 1.5 hours out of town. As you travel, you'll be treated to stunning scenery, including picturesque rice terraces and pineapple fields.
The trek begins at Ban Longlao, a local H'mong village with its own distinct culture, customs, and language, differing from the mainstream Lao experience. The hike, lasting between 2 to 2.5 hours, will take you through lush primary forests and dense jungle, leading to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall.
You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch (not included) at the falls, with time to relax, swim, or even hike to the top of the waterfall.
Afterwards, you’ll return to Luang Prabang in time to witness the sunset over the Mekong River. In the evening, a special Farewell Dinner awaits.

Depending on the timing of your departure flight, you might have some free time before being transferred to the airport for your journey home.
