Itinerary

Day 1 WELCOME TO PHNOM PENH

Welcome to Phnom Penh! Upon your arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Please note that the standard check-in time is 14:00.

In the afternoon, your tour begins with a visit to the Central Market, established in 1937 during the French colonial era. This bustling market offers a variety of items including gold and silver jewelry, electronics, clothing, imitation watches and bags, luggage, both dried and fresh food, and numerous souvenirs. Next, visit Wat Lanka, one of Phnom Penh’s oldest pagodas, originally set up as a sanctuary for sacred texts and a gathering place for Cambodian and Sri Lankan monks. Continue to the Independence Monument, inspired by the central tower of Angkor Wat and constructed in 1958 to celebrate Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. It also serves as a memorial for the country’s war casualties, with wreaths laid here on national holidays. Finally, explore Aeon Mall, a 68,000-square-meter shopping center featuring brand stores like Sheridan, Mango, Levi’s, and Adidas. The top floor boasts a large food court and a modern entertainment complex, including a cinema, karaoke lounge, bowling alley, arcades, and even an ice-skating rink. You can choose to enjoy your time at the mall or return to your hotel.

Day 2 PHNOM PENH

Embark on a tour of Phnom Penh starting at 8:00 am, when your driver and guide will meet you. Begin by delving into Cambodia’s recent tragic history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school repurposed as a detention center during the Khmer Rouge era. The visit continues to the somber Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, providing a profound insight into the country’s past.

In contrast, the afternoon offers a more relaxed experience at the Russian Market, the largest market in Cambodia, where you can find everything from carvings and jewelry to clothing and souvenirs. Enjoy a lunch featuring traditional Khmer dishes at a local restaurant.

Later, visit Wat Phnom, a serene hilltop temple surrounded by well-tended gardens, then proceed to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, renowned for its 5,000 silver tiles and its impressive collection of gold, silver, crystal, and bronze Buddha statues.

End the day with a tranquil sunset cruise along the Mekong River before heading back to your hotel.

Day 3 PHNOM PENH-SIEM REAP

In the morning, you'll head to the bus station or airport for your journey to Siem Reap City. The bus ride takes about 6 hours, while a flight is approximately 1 hour.

Upon arriving in Siem Reap, you'll meet your guide and be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Please remember that the standard check-in time is 14:00.

In the afternoon, embark on a Half-Day City Tour. Begin with a visit to Artisans D’ Angkor, a local artisan center dedicated to preserving Cambodian arts and crafts. Here, you can observe the processes of wood and stone carving, lacquering, gilding, and silk painting. Next, head to Wat Thmei, a memorial site for the victims of the Khmer Rouge regime, where a small stupa contains the skulls and bones of those who perished between 1975 and 1979. Your final stop is The Old Market, the oldest Khmer market in Siem Reap, where you can browse a variety of souvenirs, including clothing and jewelry.

Conclude your day with dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.

Day 4 SIEM REAP

At 8:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel to begin the day's exploration. Start with a visit to the South Gate, where you can marvel at the imposing statues that depict the churning of the ocean of milk. From there, head to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, established in the late 12th century, and then continue to Bayon Temple, renowned for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Next, visit Baphuon, an impressive artificial mountain that has recently reopened after extensive restoration.

Next on the itinerary are the Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Proceed to the famed Ta Prohm Temple, constructed in the late 12th to early 13th centuries, which gained fame as the filming location for the Tomb Raider movie.

Enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, explore the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple, the most revered temple in Angkor Park and the largest religious monument in the world. Inside, you will find walls adorned with breathtaking stone carvings and bas-reliefs. Your guide will offer insights into these intricate details and give you plenty of time to explore both the inner and outer areas of the temple.

End your day with a special evening performance of the Cambodian Traditional Circus. This unique show combines theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts to tell captivating Cambodian stories, whether historical, folk, or contemporary. The vibrant energy, emotion, and talent of the young performers will leave you amazed.
