Begin in Siem Reap, where you’ll explore the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat and other ancient temples, including the intricate Banteay Srei and the jungle-clad Ta Prohm. Immerse yourself in local culture with visits to floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Then, travel to Phnom Penh to uncover the city’s rich history at the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and the poignant Killing Fields. This tour offers a blend of majestic temples, vibrant city life, and deep historical insights.
Upon landing at Siem Reap airport, proceed to the Arrival Hall once you have collected your luggage. Our guide will be there to greet you with a welcome sign displaying your name. You will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax and unwind for the rest of the day.
We kick off a busy yet fascinating day with a drive to the jungle-clad temple of Ta Prohm, where the blend of human craftsmanship and natural beauty is showcased by the enormous trees that have thrived there for centuries. Next, we head to Banteay Srei, another essential stop on our tour. After lunch, we visit Preah Khan, known as the “Holy Sword.”
Our journey continues through the North Gate of Angkor Thom, where the Bayon Temple, famed for its enigmatic faces, stands as the heart of Angkor Thom. You’ll also admire the detailed bas-reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants amidst the splendid monuments of Angkor Thom.
Arriving at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, with its impressive and historic architecture, we embark on a traditional boat trip along the waterways where history, nature, and culture converge. We also pause at the Prasat Chrung temples in the southeastern part of Angkor Thom, dedicated to the Bodhisattva Lokeshvara (Avalokiteshvara). Their remote location lends them an untouched and charming appeal. As the day winds down, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset before heading back to your hotel, where you can enjoy the Apsara Dinner Show.
If your schedule allows, start your day early to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Angkor Wat at sunrise. This early visit provides a unique opportunity to witness the “temple reflection in the water” while the area is still cool and less crowded. Afterwards, proceed to Beng Mealea Temple, a captivating 11th-century ruin enveloped by dense jungle. Following your exploration, return to your hotel with your guide and driver. Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing by the hotel pool or unwinding at your leisure.
In the morning, we will stop by a Khmer village on our way to Tonle Sap Lake. From there, we’ll board a boat to explore the floating village. Our final visit will be to the Old Market. Following this, we’ll head to the airport for a flight to Phnom Penh in the afternoon. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax and unwind.
After breakfast, we start our day with a visit to the Royal Palace. We will then proceed to explore the Silver Pagoda, the National Museum, and Wat Phnom. In the afternoon, we will visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Following these visits, we will return you to your hotel.
