Itinerary

Day 1 Take overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai

Embark on an overnight train journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai. Ensure your readiness at the hotel lobby by 20:00 for a brief transfer to Hanoi Railway Station. Board the overnight train, featuring a first-class 4-bed cabin with air-conditioning, for an arrival in Lao Cai city near the Chinese border the following morning. In case train options are not accessible, you will be picked up from your hotel to catch the 10 PM sleeper cabin bus to Lao Cai.

Day 2 Hanoi - Sapa Town’s Highlights

Upon arrival at Lao Cai, around 06:00, you'll be greeted by your guide and driver. Experience a one-hour scenic transfer uphill through the Hoang Lien Son mountains to reach Sapa, offering breathtaking views of valleys and terraced rice fields. Following breakfast, take a leisurely stroll around Sapa for a delightful introduction to this enchanting town.

Explore the market, where you'll encounter diverse ethnic minority groups adorned in their self-made traditional costumes. These locals gather daily to sell a variety of products, including vegetables, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, medicinal herbs, and souvenirs. Engage with them, capturing memorable photos of the vibrant scene. Subsequently, embark on a climb to the summit of Ham Rong Mountain, providing panoramic views of the town and its surroundings.

Visit an orchard garden and a mini-museum, offering insights into the lives of ethnic minority communities in Sapa and the northwest region. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

• Accommodation: Hotel in Sapa

Day 3 Sapa - Tram Ton Pass - 2,900m Mount camping

Embark on a jeep transfer covering 18 km, leading you through the scenic route to Tram Ton Pass at 1,900m, passing the captivating Silver Waterfall along the way. Commence your trek through lush tropical jungle, meandering past isolated hamlets of the Black H'mong ethnic group. Take a break for lunch at a picturesque spot, offering a splendid view of the western area.

Resume your journey through the dense jungle, where the trail becomes narrower and steeper. Some sections may be slippery and challenging, adding an adventurous touch to the trek. Despite the terrain, the natural surroundings become increasingly untamed and enchanting. Ascend to the summit of a mountain at an elevation of 2,900m, where your camp will be established for an overnight stay.

• Accommodation: Overnight in a tent

Day 4 Mount 2,900m camp - Fansipan Mount - Tram Ton - Sapa

Follow a slender trail that winds through the forest and bamboo thickets, gradually diminishing in size and height as you approach the summit. After a challenging ascent of approximately 2 hours up the steep path, you'll triumphantly reach the pinnacle of Fansipan Mount. Congratulations! Take a moment to relish your achievement while absorbing the breathtaking view of the evergreen landscape unfolding beneath you.

The descent, while less strenuous, still poses some challenges. By noon, you'll return to the 2,900m camp for a well-deserved break, including lunch and recovery time. Subsequently, trace the same route back to Tram Ton Pass, where our awaiting car will transport you back to your hotel in Sapa.

• Accommodation: Hotel in Sapa

Day 5 Full day at your leisure - Bus back to Hanoi

You have a free day to explore Sapa at your own pace. Please note that late check-out is not arranged for your hotel room. Later in the day, at 3 PM, you will be picked up for your journey back to Hanoi on the limousine bus. Anticipate arriving in Hanoi around 10 PM.
