Our day commences with a hotel pick-up at 8 AM, embarking on a scenic 4-hour journey to Mai Chau. Along the way, we'll pause for a short break at the Muong Ethnic Minority market, immersing ourselves in their unique daily life and customs. Alternatively, we can relish the breathtaking panorama atop Thung Khe Pass, ranked among Vietnam's top 10 most beautiful passes. Arriving in Mai Chau Valley, a delightful lunch awaits. Afterward, we'll have the privilege of visiting an authentic traditional stilt house of the local Thai community. The adventure continues with a cycling expedition to the Thai Ethnic Minority villages, granting us insights into their fascinating culture and way of life. Following lunch, we proceed on a 2-hour journey to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Our next adventure encompasses a 5 km trek, meandering through verdant terrace rice fields and crossing streams to reach remote rural villages of the Black Thai ethnic minority. Dinner awaits at the lodge, complete with a taste of the locally crafted "happy water," rice wine, offered by a welcoming local family. Embrace a tranquil night amidst the heart of the Reserve. Awake early to savor the breathtaking sunrise view from the lodge. Enjoy a short walk to Doi Cave, a splendid treasure within Pu Luong Nature Reserve, showcasing mesmerizing stalactites and stalagmites. Following the trail through emerald terrace rice fields and lush jungle from Kho Muong Village to Pho Doan, you'll be treated to one of the Reserve's finest hiking routes. Today's journey commences with a transfer to Mua Cave, where a 500-step climb rewards you with panoramic vistas of the entire region. Next, visit Hoa Lu, an ancient royal palace dating back to the 10th century, to delve into the heroic era of Vietnam's first feudal dynasties. After a delightful lunch, savor a serene 1.5-hour boat ride through three captivating caves in Tam Coc. Admire the captivating landscape of lush rice fields, unique karst mountains, and perhaps even encounter some playful monkeys. Bid farewell to the charming Ninh Binh as we journey to the captivating Cat Ba National Park. 12.00: Arrive at Beo Tourist Wharf, receive a warm welcome and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink. 12.15: Check-in as the junk sets sail through the breathtaking Lan Ha Bay, passing a floating fishing village. Delight in a mesmerizing one-hour cruise amidst the picturesque limestone islands, leading to a lunch break near the pristine beaches of Van Boi. After a delectable lunch, immerse yourself in kayaking and swimming in the tranquil surroundings. Later, return to the cruise and unwind on the top deck, savoring the scenic beauty as the boat gently navigates towards Halong Bay. As the sun sets, the crew will anchor the boat for a restful night. Awake early to bask in the invigorating morning breeze and witness the splendid sunrise if desired. After a delightful breakfast on the boat, venture to Viet Hai village, a charming local village nestled within the heart of Cat Ba Island. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the village and the natural wonders of Cat Ba National Park on a scenic cycling excursion. Return to the junk and head back to Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy lunch on board and check out of your cabin at 11:00 AM. Around noon, we arrive back at Beo Wharf where your driver awaits to take you back to Hanoi.
