Itinerary

Day 1 Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Today begins early as we pick you up from your accommodation at 7 am (please note that accommodation for the night before the tour is not included, but we can assist with booking if needed—just let us know in advance). We start by delving into the tragic history of the Cambodian Genocide. Between 1976 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge’s brutal regime led to the deaths of millions and widespread devastation that continues to impact Cambodia. We’ll visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), formerly a high school that was repurposed as a detention and torture facility during this dark period. The museum serves as a somber reminder and educational resource about this chapter in Cambodian history. Our next stop is the Cheung Ek Killing Fields. After a day of reflection, you’ll return to your guesthouse, with the remainder of the afternoon free for you to relax. Overnight stay in Phnom Penh. You'll check in at your accommodation before embarking on a tour to the Killing Fields, S-21, and Cheung Ek to gain a deeper understanding of this somber era.

Day 2 Phnom Penh - Siem Reap, Cambodia

Today, we’ll journey to Siem Reap. A tuk-tuk driver will take you to the bus station at 8 AM for your 8:30 AM departure. We’ll have your minivan ticket arranged for you. Enjoy the scenic ride through the Cambodian countryside with a few rest stops along the way. Upon arrival in Siem Reap in the afternoon, meet our tuk-tuk driver, who will transfer you to your accommodation for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to either unwind or explore the vibrant city of Siem Reap. You might enjoy a refreshing swim in the hostel pool or indulge in a relaxing massage. Take a leisurely walk around the lively Old Market and Pub Street area, or simply return to your hostel. Overnight stay in Siem Reap

Day 3 Siem Reap, Cambodia

Prepare for a day filled with exploring awe-inspiring temples! Depart at 4:30 am by tuk-tuk for a sunrise experience at Angkor’s majestic temples. The Angkor Archaeological Park is a visual and architectural marvel, spanning approximately 400 km², including forested areas, and is one of Southeast Asia’s most significant archaeological sites. Home to the remains of the Khmer Empire's various capitals from the 9th to the 15th centuries, the park is a treasure trove of history and grandeur. While you could spend weeks discovering its wonders, this day tour will cover the key highlights. Arrive at the iconic Angkor Wat just in time to witness the sunrise over its reflective waters and ancient structures. Constructed in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat is celebrated for its intricate carvings and stands as a testament to Khmer engineering. After sunrise, visit the enchanting Ta Prohm temple, renowned for its integration with the jungle and serene atmosphere before the crowds arrive. Next, explore the South Gate of Angkor Thom with an optional 1km walk along the wall and through the jungle to a secluded temple. Continue your journey to the temples of Bayon, Baphuon, and the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King. After an exhilarating morning of exploration, return in the mid-afternoon for a well-deserved rest or a refreshing dip in the pool. Overnight in Siem Reap.
