End your tour in Rangoon, where the rich colonial architecture and vibrant markets will leave you enchanted.
Gather at our hotel in Mandalay for a briefing about the tour, followed by a drive to the summit of Mandalay Hill to catch the sunset. Afterward, enjoy a dinner featuring traditional Burmese cuisine.
We take a one-hour transfer to Myin-Mu, where we begin our cycling journey to the secluded town of Monywa. The ride is enjoyable, following a quiet tarmac road through the peaceful Chindwin Valley. Upon arriving in Monywa, we explore the Po Win Taung Cave before heading to our hotel for the night.
The landscape changes along the way, and the road is smooth and flat as we cycle beside the Irrawaddy River. There are many chances to engage with the local people. After enjoying lunch in Pakkoku, we spend a leisurely afternoon cruising by boat to Bagan.
Cycling is an ideal way to discover the temples of Bagan, and we will spend the entire day doing just that. The sunset, offering panoramic views over the plains dotted with chedis and temples, is an unforgettable experience.
We head up to Mt Popa, where you can ascend nearly 900 steps to reach the summit of Popa Taung Kalat, passing numerous shrines and pilgrims paying homage to the spirits along the way. After the visit, we start our descent by bike, riding through peaceful villages and quiet roads toward Bagan.
Fly back to Yangon, and upon arrival, explore Bogyoke Aung San Market before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll visit the revered Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar's most sacred religious site, before making our way to the airport.
