Itinerary

Day 1 Phnom Penh Family Tours To Takeo

In the morning, embark on a drive to Takeo Province, situated 77 km south of Phnom Penh along National Road No. 2. En route, you'll pass Tonle Bati, a scenic picnic spot by a small lake, and explore Ta Phrom, where you'll find the remains of two uniquely designed 12th-century temples.

In the afternoon, proceed to Phnom Chisor, a mountain located 57 km south of Phnom Penh. Climb the 503 steps to reach the summit, where you'll discover well-preserved ruins of 10th and 11th-century temples.

Spend the night in a guesthouse in Takeo.

Day 2 Takeo Family Tours To Kompot – Kampot Sightseeing Tours

After breakfast, board a speed boat to explore Phnom Da Temple, a pre-Angkorian structure dating back to the 6th century, and Asram Maharoseil, a unique Indian-style sandstone temple from the same period. Despite its ancient origins, the climb is relatively easy as Phnom Da is not very high; however, the path does involve some steep sections and large rocks.

Return to Takeo by boat and proceed to Kep, formerly known as Kep-sur-Mer. This picturesque coastal region was once a favored retreat for Cambodia’s French-influenced elite. After lunch, travel by car to Kampot Province and visit Kep.

Spend the night at a hotel in Kampot.

Day 3 Kompot Sightseeing Tours To Sihanoukville – Sihanoukville Family Tours On Beach

Following breakfast, take a tour to Bokor Mountain Resort, established by the French in the 1920s and later expanded with modern architecture. The resort was abandoned during the 1970s due to the war and served as a stronghold for the Khmer Rouge for a period. Enjoy exploring this fascinating site for the morning.

After lunch, proceed to Sihanoukville for an overnight stay at a seaside hotel.

Day 4 Sihanoukville Family Tours – (Optional Sightseeing Tours To Kbal Chhay Waterfall)

After breakfast, head to Kbal Chhay Waterfall, situated approximately 8 kilometers from Sihanoukville. Discovered in 1960, the waterfall was initially intended to be a clean water source for Sihanoukville by 1963. However, this plan failed, and the area became a hidden site for the Khmer Rouge. In 1997, Kbal Chhay was designated as a development zone.

In 1998, Kok An Company won a bid to construct roads and transform the area into a tourist attraction for both locals and international visitors. Today, the Royal Government of Cambodia has repurposed the site as a clean water source for Sihanoukville.

Return to the town for lunch, and in the afternoon, enjoy a city tour visiting Buddhist temples, the sea port, Independence Square, and Phsar Leu (Upper Market).

Spend the night at a seaside hotel.

Day 5 Sihanoukville Family Tours

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day swimming and relaxing on the beach in Sihanoukville. Spend the night at a seaside hotel.

Day 6 Sihanoukville Family Tours To Phnom Penh

After breakfast, transfer from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh.
