Sua s'dei! Welcome to Cambodia! Your local guide will collect you from your centrally located hotel between 8:00 am and 8:15 am for a day of exploration in Siem Reap. Our adventure begins with a visit to Angkor Wat, the most renowned and well-preserved temple in the Angkor complex. We’ll then proceed to Angkor Thom to explore Bayon, known for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 mysterious smiling faces. We’ll cap off the morning with a visit to the picturesque South Gate of Angkor Thom City. Enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor delicious local dishes and relax in a hammock or explore the nearby area to experience local life. After lunch, we’ll visit the stunning Ta Prohm temple, famously featured in Tomb Raider. If time allows, we’ll conclude our day with a climb to Pre Rup, one of the oldest pyramid-shaped temples in Angkor. Your evening is free for you to explore as you wish—perhaps visit the night markets for affordable and tasty street food or treat yourself to a traditional massage.
Join a knowledgeable local guide for an engaging day of temple exploration, nature discovery, and a deep dive into local culture in Siem Reap. Start by visiting the Banteay Srei Butterfly Centre, where you'll learn about the lifecycle of butterflies in the largest tropical butterfly enclosure in Southeast Asia. The centre reinvests its proceeds into the local community to combat poverty. Next, explore the Cambodian Landmine Museum, founded in 1997 by former child soldier Aki Ra. This museum focuses on educating visitors about the significance of landmine removal in Cambodia and supports vulnerable Khmer children. Continue to the breathtaking Banteay Srei Temple, renowned for its intricate stone carvings. After a brief history lesson and a touch of adventure, enjoy a Khmer lunch at a local spot. As you head back, visit Preah Dak Village, the main producer of sugar palm in Siem Reap, where you can learn about the production of organic sugar and sample some sweet treats. The day concludes with visits to two additional impressive temples within the grand Angkor circle, and a final stop at Preah Khan Temple, one of the largest complexes in Angkor. Return to your hotel with your evening free to relax or explore on your own.
Uncover the hidden gems of Siem Reap on a half-day tour by remork (Cambodian tuk tuk). Departing from Siem Reap, we journey through the countryside to Tonle Sap Lake, one of the world's most fertile freshwater lakes. Every year, millions of fish migrate to spawn in the seasonally inundated forests around the lake, drawing numerous water birds and villagers who live in harmony with the lake's rhythms. This unique ecosystem was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1997. Enjoy a boat ride around the lake to explore the floating villages and experience a lifestyle shaped by seasonal rains and water-based farming. On the return trip to town, observe traditional agricultural practices such as cricket catching, rice planting, harvesting, fish smoking, fish paste (prohoc) production, and duck farming. Visit a local village to sample Khmer snacks and stop by a Buddhist monastery. The tour concludes in Siem Reap between 12 pm and 1 pm. Please note that accommodation for the night is not included.
