After breakfast, we board the convenient express train to Vang Vieng, a serene town nestled along the Nam Song River. Upon arrival and hotel check-in, we embark on an exploration of the renowned Tham Jang caves, once used as a shelter during Chinese invasions. We continue our journey through picturesque paddy fields to the enchanting Tham Phoukham caves, surrounded by lush forests. Upon arrival, our team will greet you and transfer you to the enchanting Namkat Yolapa jungle resort. Once checked in, we'll embark on a short jungle trek to the stunning Namkat waterfall, where you can take your time and immerse yourself in the natural beauty. <span> Day 7 </span>Namkat Yolapa - Muang La (B, L)

In the morning, we'll depart Namkat Yolapa and head towards Pak Khai, relishing the breathtaking views of the Nam Pak River, terraced rice fields, and charming riverside villages. Our trek commences along a mountain trail, meandering through verdant vegetation alongside a glistening mountain stream. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to engage with local farmers, learning about their agricultural practices and traditional hunting and fishing techniques. After approximately 1.5 hours, we'll emerge from the forest and arrive at Ban Phavie, a picturesque Khamu village perched atop a hill. Following a delightful lunch in the village, we'll continue to nearby waterfalls for relaxation in the refreshing waters, surrounded by serene surroundings (subject to weather conditions). We'll return to Namkat Yolapa around 2:30 PM, arriving at the resort in the late afternoon. Accommodation: Namkat Yorlapa Resort (local best)

<span> Day 8 </span>Oudomxay - Pakbeng (B, L)

After breakfast, we'll set off on a captivating journey to the remote and mountainous region of Northern Laos, heading towards Pakbeng. En route, we'll make several stops to engage with the warm and hospitable hill tribe people representing the diverse 23 ethnic minority groups residing in Oudomxay province. Our visits will include the pottery village of Ban Yor and other tribal minority villages. It's fascinating to observe the distinct customs, traditions, and architectural styles of each ethnic group, from clothing and hairstyles to housing and ceremonial practices. The H'mong tribe, in particular, preserves their traditional attire, while others have embraced modern clothing while maintaining their cultural heritage. Arriving in Pakbeng in the late afternoon, we'll check into our hotel and you'll have the evening at your leisure to relax and unwind. Overnight in Pakbeng. After breakfast, we'll transfer to the boat pier to begin our scenic upstream Mekong River cruise on a luxurious boat. Along the way, we'll make a stop at a hill tribe village, where our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the local way of life and their cultural heritage. We'll also pause at Pak Tha for necessary paperwork. Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard as we continue our journey. In the afternoon, you'll have leisure time to relax, savor seasonal snacks and beverages, and soak in the riverside ambiance. Before sunset, we'll arrive in Huayxay, where the tour concludes with a drop-off at your downtown hotel or the Lao customs office. (Houayxay Immigration, Laos - Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai, Thailand.
