Day 2 Hanoi

This morning, embark on a guided bike tour of Hanoi, covering approximately 25 kilometers. Hanoi is an ideal city to explore by bike, providing an immersive experience of Vietnamese street life and traffic. Pedal through parks, around lakes, and along tree-lined boulevards, visiting iconic landmarks like the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, which includes the One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh's former residence. Take time to discover the vibrant Old Quarter, a living architectural museum with ochre-colored buildings reminiscent of a 1930s French town. The "36 Streets" within this ancient quarter offer a plethora of shops selling souvenirs, exquisite silk clothing, jewelry, embroidered tablecloths, wood carvings, and lacquerware—a haven for bargain hunters. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to stroll around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake, reflecting modern office buildings, ancient Buddhist temples, and a maze of ancient streets. Alternatively, immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture at the Vietnam Fine Art Museum or The Vietnamese Women's Museum. End the day on a flavorful note with a steaming bowl of fresh Pho from a local hole-in-the-wall eatery—Hanoi's street food is a must-try! Riding distance: approximately 25 kilometers. Day 3 Mai Chau

Gear up this morning as your cycling adventure takes off. Bid farewell to Hanoi and embark on a 2-hour bus ride to Hoa Binh. From there, hop on your bike and pedal 40 kilometers to Cao Phong, passing through charming ethnic Thai villages. Immerse yourself in the serenity of paddy fields and engage with the local community. As you ride, limestone peaks loom in the background, and vibrant greenery lines the road. Pause at scenic viewpoints to admire the lush valleys.
