After an early breakfast, we'll embark on an exciting journey to Luang Prabang via an express train. Upon arrival, our team will be there to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Luang Prabang, hailed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts unparalleled preservation as the finest city in Southeast Asia. After a brief rest, our exploration begins at The National Museum, located in the former Royal Palace, where a captivating collection of artifacts showcases the cultural splendor of Laos throughout history. We'll then visit the oldest temple in the city, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, renowned for its awe-inspiring "tree of life" mosaic crafted from vibrant glass. In the morning, we'll depart from Namkat Yolapa and embark on a captivating journey to Muang La. Marvel at the awe-inspiring views of the Nam Pak River, terraced rice fields, and quaint riverside villages along the way. Our trek begins along a mountain trail that meanders through lush vegetation, following the enchanting melody of a mountain stream. Encounter local farmers tending to their rice fields, and gain insights into their age-old farming practices, as well as their hunting and fishing techniques. After approximately 1.5 hours, we'll emerge from the forest and reach the hilltop Khamu village of Ban Phavie. Enjoy a delightful lunch in the village before continuing our expedition to nearby waterfalls, where you can unwind in the refreshing waters and savor the tranquility of the surroundings (weather permitting). <span> Day 7 </span>Oudomxay - Pakbeng (B, L)

Embark on an extraordinary expedition to the remote and mountainous region of Northern Laos as we make our way to Pakbeng. Along the scenic route, we will encounter the warm hospitality of the hill tribe people belonging to the 23 ethnic minority groups residing in Oudomxay province. Our stops will include the charming pottery village of Ban Yor and various tribal minority villages. Witness the fascinating blend of traditional and modern attire among the locals, with the H'mong tribe's senior members upholding their distinctive clothing and hairstyles. Explore their unique concepts of home, rituals, and customs tied to everyday life, encompassing rites of passage, weddings, work, festivities, and funerals. As the day draws to a close, we will reach Pakbeng in the late afternoon. After checking into your hotel, the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. <span> Day 8 </span>Pakbeng - Huayxay (B, L)

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to the boat pier and embark on our luxurious boat for an enchanting upstream cruise along the Mekong River. Along the way, we will make a stop at a captivating hill tribe village, where our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the rural population's way of life and origins. Our next stop will be Pak Tha, where we will take care of the necessary boat documents. Indulge in a delicious lunch served on board, and in the afternoon, savor the freedom to unwind and sample seasonal snacks and local beverages. As the sun begins to set, we will arrive in Huayxay, where the tour concludes with your drop-off at your downtown hotel or Lao customs. (Houayxay Immigration (Laos), Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai, Thailand. It takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, covering 110 km by car from the border to downtown Chiang Rai.)
