Welcome to Hanoi! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Known as the "Paris of the East," Hanoi is a captivating city blending French and Chinese influences. Take the rest of the day to explore and immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of this vibrant city. Overnight in Hanoi.
07:00: Depart from Hanoi Old Quarter via shuttle bus to Lan Ha Bay, with refreshing stopovers along the way. 12:00: Arrive at Beo Harbor, transfer to Sunlight Cruise. Enjoy a warm welcome and receive a cruise briefing, along with safety instructions. Check-in to your cabin. 13:00: Indulge in a special lunch featuring Vietnamese seafood delicacies as the cruise sets sail through the picturesque islands. 14:30: Explore the remarkable karst landscapes of Lan Ha Bay. Embark on an exhilarating kayak adventure through the Dark & Bright caves. 16:30: Take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, and for the adventurous, enjoy jumping or diving from the top of the boat. 18:00: Return to the cruise for a cooking class and learn to make fresh spring rolls. 19:00: Delight in a delectable dinner showcasing local flavors, expertly prepared by our talented onboard catering staff. After dinner, engage in squid fishing or unleash your inner star with some karaoke fun.
06:00: Awaken to the mesmerizing sight of a vibrant sunrise illuminating the island and bay (sunrise not applicable during winter). 07:00: Indulge in a tranquil breakfast amidst the serene bay. 08:00: Embark on a scenic 5 km bicycle ride to Viet Hai Village, nestled within the lush jungles and majestic mountains of Cat Ba National Park. 09:30: Return to our boat, freshen up with a shower, and prepare for check-out. 11:00: Delight in a special lunch featuring fresh seafood and an array of tantalizing Vietnamese dishes as we sail through the captivating islands. 12:00: Disembark at Beo Harbor and proceed to Cat Ba Town for hotel check-in. Enjoy free time to explore the charming Cat Ba Town. 14:00: Accompanied by our knowledgeable local tour guide, journey to Cat Ba National Park by motorbike or car (depending on group size). Marvel at the breathtaking panoramic views from Ngu Lam Peak. 16:00: Continue the adventure with a visit to Trung Trang Cave, a mystical underground ecosystem inhabited by bats, birds, insects, and reptiles. The limited lighting preserves the unique ecological environment within the cave. NOTE: The schedule may be adjusted to the following day based on organizational needs. 19:00: Savor a delicious dinner at the hotel's restaurant and unwind for the night in Cat Ba Island.
06:00: Witness the breathtaking sunrise illuminating the island and bay (excluding winter). 11:00: Enjoy a satisfying lunch at a restaurant before checking out of your hotel. 12:30: Depart on a bus journey to Ninh Binh, bidding farewell to the captivating Cat Ba Island. 17:30: Arrive in Ninh Binh and check into your hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
7:00: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the bungalow. 9:30: Check out and be picked up by the driver to join the group. 10:00: Arrive at the magnificent Bai Dinh pagoda complexes, the largest pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Nestled at the foothills of Dinh Mountain, surrounded by breathtaking views of the river valley and dotted limestone karsts that will leave you in awe. Explore the highlights of this stunning pagoda complex, including 500 stone statues of "La Han" (Arhats), two colossal bronze bells weighing 27 and 36 tons respectively, and the remarkable Quan Yin statue with thousands of arms and eyes. Don't miss the revered Gautama Buddha statue. 12:00: Indulge in a delightful lunch at the on-site restaurant, savoring the flavors of the local cuisine. 13:30: Embark on a mesmerizing journey to the Trang An Grottoes, an extraordinary natural beauty featuring towering limestone massifs rising dramatically from rice paddy fields. Glide along the river in a traditional sampan, passing through numerous enchanting caves such as Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave, and visit sacred temples like Cao Son Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, and Vu Lam Temple. 15:30: Explore the remarkable Mua Cave and embark on a breathtaking trek to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain, offering panoramic views of the mesmerizing rice valley and the surrounding nature. 17:15: Return to the bus and travel back to Hanoi. 19:30: Arrive at the hotel, check in, and enjoy free time. Overnight in Hanoi.
8:00-8:30: Be greeted by our friendly guide and embark on a fascinating exploration of Hanoi City. 8:45: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda, situated on the picturesque Golden Fish Island in West Lake. This ancient pagoda, dating back to the 6th century, showcases remarkable architectural beauty. 9:30: Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you can pay respects to Ho Chi Minh's embalmed body and stroll through the serene garden encompassing the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Discover the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, considered one of the world's most distinctive pagodas. Kindly dress modestly, covering shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. Note: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays. It undergoes annual maintenance for at least two months (15th June - 15th August), but you can still take pictures and explore the surrounding area. 11:15: Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, providing valuable insights into their traditions and heritage. (Note: On Mondays, we will visit the Women's Museum as the Ethnology Museum is closed.) 12:45: Indulge in a delectable lunch at our restaurant, savoring eight delightful Vietnamese dishes. 14:00-14:15: Continue the tour with a visit to the Temple of Literature, the country's first university, founded in the 11th century. 15:15: Proceed to Hoa Lo Prison Museum, known as the "Hanoi Hilton" during the Vietnam War. Originally built by the French colonists for political prisoners, it later housed American prisoners of war. 16:15-16:30: Conclude the tour and return to your hotel.
