This pagoda holds historical significance as the oldest one in Hanoi, dating back to the 6th century. 9:30: Venture to the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you'll have the opportunity to witness the preserved body of Ho Chi Minh himself. Take a leisurely stroll through the serene garden, discovering the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Continue the visit to the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique architectural masterpiece dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Note: Modest attire is recommended, covering your shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. The Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, and it undergoes an annual maintenance period of at least two months (from 15th June to 15th August). However, visitors can still take photos and explore the surrounding area. 11:15: Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. Please note that on Mondays, the museum is closed, and we will visit the Women's Museum instead. 12:45: Indulge in a delicious lunch at our restaurant, savoring the flavors of the region. From there, we proceed to the captivating Kuang Si waterfalls, the largest in the Luang Prabang region. These stunning falls cascade in three tiers, culminating in a magnificent 50-meter drop into mesmerizing azure pools. Don't miss the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in these natural pools, cherished by both locals and visitors. For a more secluded adventure, venture on a walk to the nearby village of Ban Thapene, where hidden waterfalls await, rarely visited by other tourists. Along the way, we'll also visit the Bear Rescue Center, a sanctuary for animals rescued from poachers and traffickers, offering them a safe and nurturing environment. As we return to Luang Prabang, we make a short stop at the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center. Nestled serenely close to the Mekong River, this beautifully designed workshop showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of weavers, spinners, and batik makers.
