Discover the enchanting canals on a riverboat trip to Chinatown, visit the awe-inspiring Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, or indulge in a rejuvenating Thai massage. After the meeting, don't forget to savor the flavors of green curry or tom yum goong (spicy seafood soup) in the company of fellow travelers. Accommodation: Hotel

Day 2 Banteay Chhmar

Rise and shine, adventurers! After breakfast, we'll leave Thailand behind and venture into Cambodia. Our journey to Banteay Chhmar takes approximately 8 hours, including border-crossing formalities and a lunch break. Banteay Chhmar, known as the Citadel of the Cat, is our charming destination for the evening. This off-the-beaten-path village boasts several temples scattered throughout. Get your bearings on a guided orientation walk led by your tour leader. Tonight, you'll experience authentic Khmer hospitality as you stay with a local family in a traditional stilted Khmer house. As the day winds down, savor a delectable torchlight Khmer dinner at the temple grounds or a local community center, weather permitting. Accommodation: Homestay

Day 3 Siem Reap

After a peaceful night in Banteay Chhmar, explore the temple situated in the heart of town. Like many Khmer temples in Cambodia, it is surrounded by water, symbolizing the ocean encircling the Temple Mountain—a representation of the abode of Hindu gods, Mount Meru. This architectural design greatly influenced Khmer temples during the Angkor period and also helps stabilize the foundation against fluctuating groundwater levels. Later, hop into a private vehicle for the approximately 4-hour journey to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, take time to wander through the bustling central markets and savor the delectable local cuisine. Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 4 Siem Reap – Angkor Wat Sunrise

Embark on a captivating journey to the majestic Angkor complex, guided by our knowledgeable expert. Get your camera ready to capture the awe-inspiring beauty of this ancient wonder, regardless of the time of day. With some structures dating back over a thousand years, these architectural marvels stand as testaments to the glory days of the Khmer Empire in Southeast Asia. Immerse yourself in the cosmic world depicted by these masterpieces, meticulously crafted with impeccable balance, symmetry, and composition. Prepare to be mesmerized as you explore the sprawling site alongside your tour leader, and make sure not to miss the breathtaking sunset at the temples. While the ruins span an area of approximately 160 square kilometers, the main cluster of temples is conveniently located near Siem Reap, allowing ample time to appreciate the grandeur of Angkor Wat, the iconic Bayon, and the enchanting Ta Prohm engulfed by the jungle. In the evening, enjoy a memorable culinary experience as you savor a traditional meal in the heartwarming ambiance of a local family's home. Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 5 Siem Reap

Start your day with an incredible street food breakfast at Siem Reap's lively local market. Today is free for you to explore Siem Reap at your own pace. If you've had your fill of temples but still crave for something extraordinary, consider embarking on an exhilarating Angkor zip-line adventure, where you'll soar through the rainforest like an eagle. Alternatively, visit the thought-provoking landmine museum or partake in one of the fantastic Urban Adventure Tours available. Your group leader will provide guidance on the best activities to suit your interests. And if you simply can't get enough of the Angkor site, worry not! Consult your leader for affordable options, as multi-day passes are available. Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 6 Phnom Penh

Journey to the captivating capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Traverse the Cambodian countryside aboard a public bus, immersing yourself in the scenic beauty for approximately 6-7 hours (including two stops). Phnom Penh, once known as Krong Chaktomuk or the "City of Four Faces," derives its name from the junction of the Mekong, Bassac, and Tonle Sap rivers. This river crossing forms an X shape, representing the four distinct geographic "faces" of the city and its surroundings. The city's main center graces the western bank of the Tonle Sap/Mekong rivers. In the evening, seize the opportunity to celebrate at a rooftop bar, delighting in panoramic views of the captivating convergence between the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers. Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 7 Phnom Penh

Awaken in the bustling embrace of Phnom Penh and join your group to delve into the country's history at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and the infamous Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), gaining deeper insights into the Khmer Rouge atrocities. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure. If shopping entices you, explore the Psar Thmei (Central Market), housed within a captivating French colonial building, offering a variety of clothing and sarongs. Alternatively, visit the revered Wat Phnom temple, the National Museum, or explore the charming French Quarter. Accommodation: Guesthouse

Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is a captivating blend of bustling markets, street stalls, and rich Vietnamese history. Hanoi, with its population of over six million, exudes a charming ambiance. The city is renowned for its picturesque lakes, tree-lined boulevards, verdant public parks, and the captivating Old Quarter. The Old Quarter is a living architectural museum, where ochre-hued buildings evoke the atmosphere of a provincial French town from the 1930s. As Vietnam progresses in its quest to compete with other Southeast Asian nations, Hoan Kiem Lake beautifully reflects the contrasts of modern office buildings, ancient Buddhist temples, and a labyrinth of ancient streets. Embark on a guided walking tour with your leader, exploring the Old Quarter and the French Quarter. Visit Dong Xuan Market, the largest wholesale market in northern Vietnam, stroll through the enchanting "36 streets," and discover a myriad of shops offering souvenirs, exquisite silk clothing, and intricately embroidered tablecloths. Upon arrival, enjoy a lunch at your homestay, followed by an introductory walk around the village. Immerse yourself in the local culture as you embark on a short trek of 2 kilometers to the captivating Sung Cave and visit a century-old tea plantation. Embark on a boat excursion around Lan Ha Bay, and then get up close and personal with this enchanting scenery through kayaking. For those passionate about sustainability, consider assisting the locals' clean-up efforts by having a net on the side of your kayak. Accommodation: Hotel
