Day 3 Phnom Penh to Siem Reap - River Cruise and Road Transfer (Lunch)

In the morning, our experienced river and lake guides will pick up guests from their hotels in Phnom Penh by 7:30am. They will be warmly welcomed aboard our riverboat at the Phnom Penh dock, where a complimentary drink awaits. As we embark on our journey to Siem Reap, guests will enjoy a delicious lunch served on board, featuring fresh local fruits and a BBQ. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Unlimited water and a welcome drink will also be provided (additional drinks can be purchased). During the approximately 4.5-hour cruise, we will sail along the river, witnessing the vibrant life along the riverbanks. Our special vessel, designed with a double hull, allows us to navigate closer to the riverbanks and explore the narrow waterways en route. We will make a stop at Koh Chen Island, famous for its silversmiths. Here, guests can witness the skilled artisans crafting exquisite Khmer silverware, favored by the Khmer Royal Family. Handmade jewelry of exceptional quality is available for purchase at wholesale prices. Upon arrival at either Prek Kdam or Roka Kaong (depending on weather conditions), guests will be transferred to Siem Reap by private air-conditioned minivan or SUV. The scenic drive, approximately 4.5 hours, will take us through picturesque Cambodian countryside and traditional rural villages. Arriving in Siem Reap around 5 pm, guests will be transferred directly to their hotel free of charge.

Day 4 Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Experience (Lunch)

We begin our day with an early morning departure from the hotel to witness the stunning sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Guided by torchlight, we enter the temple from the lesser-known eastern side, immersing ourselves in the ancient corridors adorned with extensive bas-relief carvings. As dawn breaks, we embrace the serene atmosphere at Angkor from the edge of the library pools, savoring the magical moment. Our exploration continues inside the temple, where we delve into its labyrinthine corridors, grand chambers, and elevated terraces. Accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide, we unravel the captivating stories depicted in the intricate bas-reliefs, gaining insights into the pinnacle of the Khmer empire. Afterwards, we conclude our temple tour with a breakfast break outside the temple (breakfast not included) and a short rest. The morning continues with a visit to the southern gate of Angkor Thom, guarded by 54 stone figures representing gods and demons. We explore the fortified city of Angkor Thom, marveling at the majestic Bayon temple with its iconic central towers adorned with over 200 massive faces. The famous Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants are also part of our itinerary. Following a satisfying lunch and a well-deserved rest, we embark on an adventure to the enchanting Ta Prohm temple, known for its harmonious integration with the surrounding jungle. This atmospheric temple, once home to thousands of monks, retains its mystical allure and resembles its appearance when rediscovered in the 1850s by French explorer Henri Mouhot.

Day 5 Banteay Srei Temple and Grand Circuit Tour

Embark on a captivating journey to explore the remarkable temples outside the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Our day begins at 8:00 am with a visit to Pre Rup, a majestic Hindu temple known as the state temple of King Rajendravarman. Built in the 10th century, this temple mountain showcases a remarkable combination of brick, laterite, and sandstone construction. Next, we continue our drive to the exquisite Banteay Srei temple. This intricately carved sandstone structure boasts the finest and most skillfully crafted reliefs in Cambodia. Previously inaccessible during the Khmer Rouge era, Banteay Srei has become a treasure for visitors since the late 1990s. Returning on our journey, we visit Neak Pean temple, an artificial island housing a Buddhist temple on a circular island within Jayatataka Baray. We then proceed to explore the captivating Preah Khan temple. Its enchanting atmosphere is created by intertwining tree roots and weathered stone structures. Commissioned by the renowned temple builder, Jayavaraman VII, this site offers a fascinating contrast to the grandeur of Angkor Wat. Currently undergoing restoration by the World Monuments Fund, Preah Khan showcases remarkable preservation in certain areas.
