After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a serene journey down the majestic Mekong River aboard a traditional boat. Laos, with its cultural and natural treasures, remains a hidden gem, often overlooked by travelers. Once known as "Lane Xang" or "Million Elephants," this timeless country boasts a rich history, influenced by Khmers, Theravada Buddhism, animism, France, and socialist ideologies. Its peaceful ambiance and warm hospitality of its people add to its allure, making it a captivating time capsule of old Asia.

En route, we'll stop at tribal minority villages like Hmong, Yao, and Khmu, offering glimpses into their unique ways of life. Upon reaching Pakbeng, immerse yourself in the local market's vibrant atmosphere, where hill tribe traders exchange their colorful goods. You'll spend the night in Pakbeng.

<span> Day 2 </span>Pakbeng - Oudomxay (B, L)

After a delicious breakfast, our journey takes us into the remote and picturesque landscapes of Northern Laos, reaching the province of Oudomxay. This region is a tapestry of diverse ethnic minority groups, each greeting visitors with warmth and smiles. Our stops at villages like Ban Yor and others offer intriguing insights into their distinct cultures. The Lao, Khammu, and H'mong tribes predominate, with the H'mong's traditional clothing and hairstyles still preserved among the elders. Yet, modern influences have embraced others' attire.

The houses, however, remain true to tradition, revealing captivating variations in concepts of home and unique customs for life's milestones. As we reach Namkat Yolapa in the late afternoon, you'll have time to unwind, explore the surroundings, and relish the serene ambiance. Overnight in Namkat.

<span> Day 3 </span>Namkat Yolapa - Muang La (B, L)

As the morning light graces Namkat Yolapa, we set forth towards Pak Khai, unveiling breathtaking vistas of the Nam Pak River, terraced rice fields, and quaint riverside villages. Our trek commences along a mountain trail, meandering through lush foliage, and following a serene mountain stream. Engaging with local farmers tending their rice fields, you'll gain insights into their agricultural practices and their traditional ways of hunting and fishing in the mountain streams.

After a delightful 1.5-hour trek, we emerge from the forest to arrive at the beautiful Khamu village of Ban Phavie, perched atop a hill. Relish a scrumptious lunch amidst the village's tranquil embrace before continuing to nearby waterfalls, offering a refreshing respite amidst nature's embrace (weather permitting). By late afternoon, we return to Namkat Yolapa, concluding our enriching adventure.

<span> Day 4 </span>Oudomxay - Luang Prabang by Express Train. (B, L)

After a hearty breakfast, we embark on an exhilarating express train journey to Luang Prabang. As we arrive, our dedicated staff warmly greets you and escorts you to your centrally located hotel. Luang Prabang stands as an immaculately preserved gem among traditional cities in Southeast Asia, captivating visitors with its serene ambiance, breathtaking natural vistas, and cultural landmarks that evoke a sense of wonder. After a brief relaxation, we set out on an enriching exploration.

Our journey begins at The National Museum, housed within the former Royal Palace, where a splendid collection of artifacts unveils the cultural splendor of Laos throughout the ages. A visit to Wat Mai reveals its architectural marvel, and the ascent to the summit of Mount Phousi leads us to a sacred, gilded stupa and a panoramic view of the enchanting city and the majestic Mekong River at sunset. Concluding our day's adventure, we stroll through the vibrant Night Market, showcasing an array of exquisite handmade textiles. Rest well in Luang Prabang's embrace.

Along our journey, we'll visit quaint villages, including Ban Muangkeo, known for its local rice wine production, and Ban Xiengmene. Our adventure continues to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall, with a special stop at the Buffalo Dairy Farm for an engaging 40-minute tour. At the farm, we'll participate in buffalo feeding and washing, witness milking demonstrations, and even interact with chickens and rabbits. En route, we'll visit ethnic minority villages, enriching our understanding of their vibrant traditions.

At Kuang Si Waterfall, we'll savor the turquoise pools' allure and meander along forest trails. Before returning to Luang Prabang, we'll capture a mesmerizing sunset view at Wat Phabath. A restful night awaits in Luang Prabang's embrace.
