The tranquil rural landscape, adorned with rice paddies and the sight of ducks and water buffalos in the rivers, paints a peaceful picture. It is challenging to envision the destruction, damage, and defoliation that once marred this area due to bombings and mines when Cu Chi was designated as a "Free Target Zone."
