Situated on the banks of the Red River, Hanoi holds the distinction of being one of the world’s oldest capitals, boasting a treasure trove of well-preserved colonial edifices, ancient pagodas, temples, and captivating museums nestled within its heart.
Morning Schedule: 8:00 - 8:30 AM: Our amiable guide will pick you up to commence your exploration of Hanoi. 8:45 AM: Arrival at Tran Quoc Pagoda, nestled by the West Lake, dating back to the 6th century, it stands as the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. 9:30 AM: Venture to the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you'll encounter the embalmed remains of Ho Chi Minh and traverse the serene garden encompassing the two houses where he resided and worked from 1954 to 1969. Subsequently, pay homage at the One Pillar Pagoda, an architectural marvel dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, renowned as one of the world's most unique pagodas. Note: Modest attire covering shoulders to knees is required when visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. The Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays. However, access for photography and visitation to the area remains available during its annual maintenance period from June 15th to August 15th.
11:15 AM: Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Vietnam at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, offering insights into the diverse cultures of the nation's 54 ethnic groups. On Mondays, we will instead visit the Women's Museum.
12:45 PM: Savor a delectable Vietnamese lunch at our restaurant, featuring eight mouthwatering dishes.
Afternoon Schedule: 2:00 - 2:15 PM: Continue your journey with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's inaugural university, established in the 11th century. 3:15 PM: Journey to the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, originally utilized by French colonists for political detainees, and later repurposed by North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, famously known to American POWs as the "Hanoi Hilton." 4:15 - 4:30 PM: Conclude your tour and return to your hotel.
