Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi, Vietnam (Dinner)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you'll be warmly welcomed by our Tour Guide and Car Driver at the airport. Transfer to the heart of Hanoi, often referred to as The City Downtown. This city boasts lakes, tree-lined boulevards, public parks, and serves as Vietnam's capital. Enjoy leisure time in Hanoi until 7:00 pm. Later, board the night train from Hanoi to Sapa, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable sleeping cabin (choose between a 4-softbed or 6-bed sleeping cabin).
Upon reaching Lao Cai Railway Station around 5-6:00 am, you'll be picked up and transferred to Sapa town for check-in. After a satisfying breakfast, embark on a captivating hike descending to Lao Chai village to encounter the Black H'mong community. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch along the way, and continue traversing the scenic valley to reach Ta Van village, home to the hospitable Dzay people known for their friendliness in the mountainous region.
The journey unfolds further as you explore Giang Ta Chai village, inhabited by the Red Dzao tribe, offering breathtaking scenery and a captivating waterfall. In the afternoon, return to Sapa Town, where you have the freedom to explore Sapa Market. Spend the night in the heart of Sapa Town, embracing the local charm.
Following breakfast in Sapa, depart from Sapa Town to Bac Ha Town, where the renowned Sunday Market takes place, drawing locals adorned in traditional attire. Bac Ha Market stands out as one of the most vibrant and colorful markets in the northernmost region of Vietnam. Witness the hustle and bustle as thousands engage in buying and selling various local products, including dogs, cats, pigs, buffaloes, horses, and more, creating a unique and picturesque scene—ideal for capturing memorable photographs.
In the afternoon, embark on a delightful stroll to Ban Pho village, inhabited by the Flower H'mong people. Engage with the welcoming locals and enjoy a pleasant walk amidst tribal villages. Depart from Bac Ha Town at 3:00 pm, heading to Lao Cai Railway Station. Board the night train, scheduled to depart around 7:30 pm, for an overnight journey back to Hanoi.
Upon arriving at Hanoi Railway Station at 5:30 am, you'll be greeted and transferred to a hotel for a brief rest and breakfast until 8:30 am. Depart from Hanoi to Halong Bay, a stunning and expansive natural wonder renowned for its breathtaking scenery. Encompassing 577 square miles, the bay is adorned with over 3,000 limestone peaks or karsts emerging majestically from the deep blue waters, creating a mesmerizing panorama.
Embark on a day and a half exploration of this awe-inspiring seascape, spending the night onboard a traditional Vietnamese boat. The boat offers comfort and intimacy, featuring meticulously crafted wooden interiors, a dining room, and cozy air-conditioned cabins with private baths. As we cruise overnight, there will be ample time to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Enjoy opportunities for swimming and visiting some of the bay's most prominent rock formations and caves.
