In the early morning, we will transfer you to the renowned Angkor archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage site since December 14, 1992. Begin your tour with a mesmerizing sunrise at Angkor Wat, where the sun majestically rises behind the temple. After experiencing this breathtaking moment, explore the intricate Angkor Wat complex before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After enjoying breakfast, we will visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom and the captivating Bayon temple, situated at the heart of Angkor Thom. Immerse yourself in the ancient city of Angkor Thom, discovering remarkable temples such as Baphuon, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Next, we'll explore the famous Ta Prohm temple, known as the "Tomb Raider" temple, which retains its unique charm as nature intertwines with the ancient ruins. After breakfast, we'll take you to explore the exquisite temples within the vast Angkor Archaeological Park, spanning over 401 square kilometers and housing more than 250 temples. Visit Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, Pre Rup, and Banteay Samre temples, each showcasing unique architectural wonders. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we'll visit the magnificent Banteay Srei temple, known as the crown jewel of Khmer art. This temple, built with rose-colored sandstone, is truly a sight to behold. On our way back, we'll stop by a traditional Khmer village, where you can observe traditional Khmer houses and witness the process of making palm sugar. Finally, we'll head to Phnom Bakheng temple to witness a captivating sunset before returning to the hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin the day by visiting Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia. This remarkable lake, recognized as a UNESCO-listed natural biosphere in 1997, offers a unique experience. Embark on a cruise to explore the fascinating floating villages, where you will witness the daily lives of the Khmer people who reside in houses built on boats and bamboo rafts. Marvel at the floating school, market, church, and the lush freshwater mangrove surrounding the lake. Next, we'll visit the Rolous Group, a collection of temples dating back to the early days of the Khmer empire in the 9th century. Discover the architectural wonders of Lo Lei, Preah Ko, and Bakong temples. Bakong Temple, constructed by King Indravarman I, stands as the first pyramid-shaped temple in Angkor, boasting five levels. After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a journey to Phnom Kulen National Park, situated about 60 kilometers north of Angkor. This park holds significance as the quarry for the sandstone used in the construction of the Angkor temples. As we ascend to the mountain's summit, you'll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. At the peak, we'll visit Poeng Ta Kho, an awe-inspiring cliff, and the largest reclining Buddha statue carved directly into the natural sandstone within the Buddhist monastery. Our adventure continues with a visit to the River of a Thousand Lingas, where intricate carvings adorn the riverbed, accompanied by a magnificent waterfall. You'll have the opportunity to swim and unwind in this sacred water before returning to the hotel.
