Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Vientiane

Upon arrival in Vientiane, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. As Laos' capital and largest city, Vientiane is nestled along the Mekong River and has a population of 600,000. Despite modern developments, it maintains a unique old-world charm distinct from other Asian cities. This afternoon, you will explore the city's key attractions, starting with Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane, built in 1818. Most other temples were rebuilt following the Siamese invasion in 1828. Next, visit Haw Pha Kaew, the former royal temple now serving as a museum, and Pha That Luang, Laos' most significant national monument, symbolizing both the monarchy and Buddhism. The tour also includes the Patuxai Monument, resembling Paris’s Arc de Triomphe and offering impressive city views. In the evening, relax while watching the sunset over the Mekong River.

Day 2 Vientiane to Luang Prabang

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang, renowned as Laos’s most captivating and picturesque city. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a guided exploration of Luang Prabang’s charming streets, including a visit to the Pho Si Market and several temples, with a highlight being Wat Xieng Thong, the city's most impressive temple. Additionally, you will visit a village known for its textile weaving and paper-making. The day concludes with an enjoyable cooking class where you can learn and create local dishes.

Day 3 Luang Prabang & the Mekong

This morning, explore the Royal Palace Museum, renowned for its exquisite Lao art and furnishings. Next, embark on a boat journey along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, known for their impressive collection of thousands of Buddha statues. Along the way, you'll stop at a riverside village where you can taste some local Lao-Lao (rice wine). In the evening, climb to the summit of Mount Phou Si to enjoy panoramic sunset views over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.

Day 4 Luang Prabang & Kuang Si Falls

Today, we start early to witness one of Asia’s most captivating sights: the procession of hundreds of Buddhist monks collecting their morning alms. After a brief rest, we head to the stunning Kuang Si Falls, with a stop at a Hmong village along the way to explore the culture of one of Laos's prominent ethnic groups. Conclude the day with leisure time for shopping in local boutiques or exploring the night market.

Day 5 Depart Luang Prabang

This morning, you'll be taken to the airport for your next flight departing from Luang Prabang.
