Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival - Vientiane

Arrive in Vientiane and unwind at your hotel. Rooms will be available from 1:30 PM. Lunch and dinner are not included in the price. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Vientiane - Luang Prabang

Vientiane, the capital of Laos, bears the marks of French colonization but has retained a strong Asian identity. You will explore the city's key sites, which include not only landmarks influenced by French architecture but also ancient monasteries and other structures in traditional Asian styles:

 • Wat Sisaket Temple, which, despite Siamese influence, reflects a unique architectural style. Preserved from destruction due to its earlier Bangkok-style design, it is the largest and most beautiful temple in Vientiane.

 • Wat Phra Keo Temple, built in 1565 to house the famous Emerald Buddha and rebuilt identically in 1942. Set in a lovely garden, it features beautifully carved wooden panels and graceful colonnades under its sloping roof, showcasing typical northern Siamese and Lao styles.

 • Pha That Luang, a monastery surrounding a massive stupa. Though it was saved during the Siamese invasion of the city, it was damaged by looters in 1873. The French renovated it in 1930. It has become a national symbol representing both the Buddhist religion and the sovereignty of Laos. This grand shrine is a masterpiece of Lao architecture.

 • Patuxay, the Victory Monument, offers a stunning view of Vientiane from the top.

In the early evening, you will fly to Luang Prabang

Day 3 City tour in Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves

The city of Luang Prabang, with its privileged location where the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers meet and nestled at the base of an ancient mountain range, is one of the most beautiful cities in Southeast Asia. You will certainly explore the city's oldest temple, Wat Visoun, as well as Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Senna. To make the most of your visit to this picturesque city, our guide will share their knowledge of Luang Prabang's history, architecture, and culture with you.

In the afternoon, board a local motorboat for a trip to the Pak Ou Caves, the most famous Buddhist site in the Luang Prabang region. During this scenic journey along the Mekong River, lined with steep karst cliffs and small villages, you can observe riverside life. After the boat ride, you'll reach the caves. Once you climb the steps to the entrance, you'll be amazed by the numerous Buddha statues inside. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Luang Prabang City - Kuang Si Falls

In the morning, visit the National Museum located in the former Royal Palace, which houses a collection of personal items from the royal family. Following this, take a trip to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, one of Luang Prabang’s highlights. These cascading waterfalls are formed from limestone formations and numerous turquoise pools. For visitors to northern Laos, the waterfalls are a must-see destination. The lower level of the falls has been converted into a public park where you can take a break and enjoy the shady, refreshingly cool atmosphere. The main attraction lies further up the trail, where you’ll find numerous small natural limestone pools created by water erosion. Enjoy the surroundings and spend some time swimming or relaxing in the pools. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Luang Prabang

Free time until transfer to Luang Prabang airport for your departure from Laos. Rooms are available only until noon.
