Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang, recognized by UNESCO as ‘the best-preserved city in Southeast Asia,’ offers a unique charm. During our visit, we’ll explore the remarkable Wat Visoun stupa and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We’ll then ascend Mount Phousi to enjoy the sacred, gilded stupa and take in panoramic sunset views of the city and the Mekong River. Afterward, we’ll wander through the Night Market, where you can browse a delightful array of handmade textiles crafted by local and hill tribe artisans. You’ll spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Day 2 LUANG PRABANG GROUP TOUR TO PAK OU CAVE – ADVENTURE BOAT TRIP

Today, we’ll embark on a brief guided tour to explore some of the city's historic sites, including the ancient Wat Sene and the stunning Wat Xiengthong, known for its traditional Laotian architecture with its sweeping, low roofs. Next, we’ll set off on a cruise up the Mekong River, offering stunning views of the peaceful countryside. We’ll also visit the intriguing Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of various sizes are housed in two connected caves, left by devoted pilgrims. Along our route, we’ll stop at Ban Xanghai, famous for its local rice wine, and then drive to Ban Phanom, a charming village renowned for its hand weaving. We will return to Luang Prabang for the night.

Day 3 LUANG PRABANG GROUP TOUR TO KUANGSI WATERFALL

For those interested, an optional early start provides a wonderful chance to witness the daily ritual where saffron-robed monks collect alms—often sticky rice—from local residents. This practice is distinctive to Laos, as it is the only Buddhist country that maintains this tradition.

Following this, you’ll visit the bustling Phousi Market, where you can explore a variety of goods including dried buffalo skin, local tea, saltpeter, as well as chickens, vegetables, and textiles from local hill tribes. Laos is renowned for its traditional crafts, and today you'll have the opportunity to visit several villages of ethnic minority groups: Ban Ouay (a Hmong village), Ban Ou (a Lao-loum village), and Ban Thapene (a Khmu village).

Next, we’ll head to the stunning Kuangsi Waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or take a leisurely walk along the forest trails. After returning to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon, we’ll visit Ban Xangkhong, known for its silk weaving and Saa (jute) papermaking. We’ll conclude the day by heading back to the city to watch the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4 LUANG PRABANG – DEPARTURE

Today, we'll explore the National Museum, located in the former Royal Palace (please note it is closed on Tuesdays). The museum showcases a range of artifacts that highlight the depth of Lao culture, spanning from the early kings to the last monarch. We'll also have time to visit the Central Market. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have some free time in the afternoon to explore the town and enjoy the shopping district. The tour concludes with your transfer to the airport for departure.
