Our first stop takes us to Houey Ten, a Katu village renowned for its knifemaking craftsmanship. We then visit a tea plantation, followed by a visit to the captivating twin chute waterfall, Tad Fan. Our exploration continues with a coffee plantation visit, en route to the vibrant Tha Teng Market, where we'll immerse ourselves in the colors and flavors of the ethnic minority food. Delving deeper into the cultural tapestry, we explore Ban Bong Neua, an Alak village with a unique sacrificial altar. As the day unfolds, we marvel at the beauty of Tadlo waterfall, continuing our journey through the Bolaven Plateau, and engaging with the ethnic minority villages of Lao Teung at the majestic Pha Suam waterfall. Dating back to the 5th century, these Khmer ruins offer a fascinating glimpse into the region's ancient history. After breakfast, we continue our exploration of the 4000 Islands, this time by boat, and then embark on a bicycle adventure to Khone Island. At Ban Khone, we uncover the remnants of French colonial heritage, with charming old colonial houses and the relics of the first Lao railway featuring its own locomotive. The picturesque Liphi waterfall, also known as Samphamith, awaits our visit, marking the natural border between Laos and Cambodia. We then return to Ban Nakasang and proceed to witness the grandeur of Khone Phapheng waterfall, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, often referred to as the "Niagara of the East."
