Formerly known as Rangoon, Yangon is a tranquil and captivating city rich in colonial history and spiritual significance. As you drive past aging colonial structures, bustling street markets, and shimmering temples, your journey culminates at the impressive Shwedagon Pagoda, a vital religious site for the Burmese people. As the sun sets, take in the stunning transformation of the 100-meter-high stupa, adorned with over 40 tons of gold leaf.

Once you check in to your hotel, situated close to the lake’s edge, you can enjoy stunning views from the stilted buildings and their balconies.
