Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL – YANGON SIGHTSEEING TOURS

Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, your tour guide will warmly greet you and assist you with the immigration process. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in an authentic colonial coach. Known as the "Elephant Coach," this charming six-seater is a restored 1945 vintage Chevrolet bus, offering a stylish introduction to Myanmar. If time permits, we recommend enjoying lunch at Monsoon Restaurant, where you can savor delicious, freshly prepared Myanmar cuisine.

In the afternoon, embark on a tour of Yangon’s colonial city center, filled with cultural treasures. Formerly known as Rangoon, Yangon is a tranquil and captivating city rich in colonial history and spiritual significance. As you drive past aging colonial structures, bustling street markets, and shimmering temples, your journey culminates at the impressive Shwedagon Pagoda, a vital religious site for the Burmese people. As the sun sets, take in the stunning transformation of the 100-meter-high stupa, adorned with over 40 tons of gold leaf.

You’ll spend the night at your hotel in Yangon.

Day 2 YANGON – FLIGHT TO HEHO – INLE LAKE SIGHTSEEING TOURS & BOAT TRIPS TO FLOATING HOUSES AND GARDENS

This morning, you'll be transferred to Yangon Airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival, embark on a picturesque one-hour drive to Nyaung Shwe, the charming village that serves as the gateway to the beautiful Inle Lake. You’ll be greeted by a private local motorboat, which will take you to your luxurious hotel for check-in. As you glide along the lake, you'll see stilted villages, the unique leg-rowing fishermen known as the Intha, and floating gardens secured to the lake's floor with bamboo poles.

Once you check in to your hotel, situated close to the lake’s edge, you can enjoy stunning views from the stilted buildings and their balconies. After settling in, a private boat will take you on an excursion to explore Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, home to numerous Shan Buddha statues and famous for the monks who have trained cats to jump through hoops. Next, visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the principal sanctuary on the lake, before heading back to the resort.

Day 3 INLE LAKE SIGHTSEEING TOUR TO VILLAGES IN INDEIN – INLE LAKE

This morning, embark on a serene boat journey along a narrow canal leading to the Pa-oh village of Indein. Once you arrive, take the time to explore on foot—stroll through the village, visit a local school, and meander through the stunning Alaung Sitthou area, which is adorned with charming ancient stupas and offers breathtaking views of the lake below.

On your way back, savor traditional Intha cuisine. Stop at a nearby village for a private lunch at an Intha house in Nampan Village, where you'll enjoy a selection of local dishes while sitting on cushions around a traditional low table.

Afterward, return by boat to your hotel for a leisurely afternoon at the spa.

Day 4 INLE LAKE SIGHTSEEING TOURS – FLIGHT FROM HEHO TO BAGAN – BAGAN SIGHTSEEING TOURS

This morning, embark on a tour of the villages surrounding the lake to discover the local cottage industries. First, visit the weaving village of Inpawkhone, renowned for its exquisite textiles crafted from silk and lotus roots. Then, proceed to a cheroot factory where traditional Burmese cigars are handmade.

Lunch will be at your convenience, and we recommend enjoying a meal at Ann’s Restaurant, located in the heart of the lake. Later this afternoon, check out of your hotel and head to Heho Airport for your flight to Bagan.

Day 5 BAGAN SIGHTSEEING TOURS AT SACRED TEMPLES WITH STUPAS AND MARKETS

Start your day with a trip to the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market, where numerous vendors gather to offer their fresh produce and goods. The market is particularly lively in the early morning as locals come to shop, providing a wonderful chance to observe the daily lives of the welcoming residents. Afterward, proceed to the stunning Shwezigon Pagoda, which serves as a model for later stupas in Myanmar.

Your next stop is Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple adorned with beautiful jatakas mural paintings. Then, head to the graceful Htilominlo Temple, famous for its intricate plaster carvings and glazed sandstone embellishments. Enjoy lunch at your convenience; we suggest the Bagan Viewing Tower, where you can savor your meal while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the Bagan landscape.

In the afternoon, explore the New Bagan area, where you'll find one of the numerous lacquer-ware workshops. Here, you can witness the traditional craftsmanship involved in creating these exquisite handmade products from beginning to end. The meticulous process demands exceptional skill and patience, and Bagan's artisans are celebrated for their remarkable lacquer items.

As the day winds down, make your way to the boat jetty to embark on a sunset cruise. Sip on a cocktail while taking in the magnificent views of Bagan as you glide along the Irrawaddy River. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 6 BAGAN SIGHTSEEING TOURS AT TEMPLES AND MONASTERY – FLIGHT TO YANGON – YANGON SIGHTSEEING TOURS

This morning, continue your exploration of Bagan with a visit to the Ananda Temple, renowned for its stunning architecture typical of the early-style temples. Close by, you’ll find Ananda Okkyaung, one of the few remaining brick monasteries from the early Bagan era. Experience a horse-drawn carriage ride through the temple complex, starting at Ananda and passing by Thatbyinnyu, the tallest temple in Bagan, as well as the impressive Dhammayangyi Temple, famous for its extraordinary brickwork, and Sulamani Temple.

After enjoying lunch at your convenience, you'll be taken to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, our guide and driver will be ready to escort you to your hotel. This evening, indulge in a memorable farewell dinner. The sophisticated Le Planteur Restaurant offers a delightful selection of French and Asian dishes, all freshly prepared by top chefs.
