Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL YANGON

Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, a tour representative will welcome you and guide you on an introductory exploration of Yangon City. Your first stop will be the Marble Temple, which houses a stunning 7.6-meter tall Buddha statue carved from a single block of white marble. In proximity to the temple is the Royal White Elephant Garden, a small, unmarked park that symbolizes peace, stability, and prosperity, reflecting Myanmar's reverence for white elephants.

After enjoying lunch, you will proceed to Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, known for its impressive 70-meter-long reclining Buddha. Following this, you'll have the chance to savor traditional Myanmar tea at a local tea shop.

Next, your journey continues to Bogyoke Market, previously known as Scott's Market, where you can browse an extensive array of Burmese handicrafts and various local products.

Your final destination will be the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist temple in Myanmar. While its precise origins remain uncertain, it is widely believed to have been constructed around 2,500 years ago and has undergone several renovations, reaching its current form in the 15th century. The central stupa, with its eight sides, stands at 99 meters tall and is adorned with gold leaf, surrounded by 64 smaller stupas. Follow your guide as you explore this vast complex and discover the significance of this temple to the local community.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight stay in Yangon.

Day 2 YANGON – NAYPYITAW – BAGAN

A driver will greet you at the reception and transport you to Bagan, the historical capital of the Pagan Kingdom, which played a crucial role in unifying the regions that eventually formed Myanmar. During its peak, from the 11th to the 13th centuries, Bagan was adorned with thousands of magnificent stupas and temples, many of which still stand today along the banks of the Irrawaddy River.

On the journey, we will make a stop in Naypyitaw, Myanmar’s contemporary capital, where you'll visit the impressive Uppatasanti Pagoda. This remarkable structure contains a Buddha tooth relic from China and features an almost life-size replica of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon.

Upon arriving in Bagan and checking into your hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to explore this fascinating destination at your leisure. Overnight stay in Bagan.

Day 3 BAGAN

Meet your guide at the reception to embark on your tour of Bagan. Begin by soaking in the stunning vistas of the vast Bagan plains as you head toward the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda, where you'll receive a brief overview of Bagan’s fascinating history. Next, visit the nearby Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple adorned with exquisite jataka mural paintings, followed by the elegant Htilominlo Temple, renowned for its intricate plaster carvings and glazed sandstone embellishments.

After lunch at a local restaurant (not included), your guide will escort you to a traditional lacquerware workshop, where you can witness the crafting of one of Myanmar's most famous handicrafts. The tour will then take you to the Ananda Temple, an architectural gem and one of Bagan’s most stunning places of worship. Constructed in the early Mon style, Ananda houses two unique Buddha images that appear to change expression depending on your viewing angle. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and explore the enchanting atmosphere of Bagan at your own pace. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4 BAGAN – NYAUNG SHWE – INLE LAKE

Enjoy a relaxed drive to Lake Inle. This journey may be lengthy and winding, but it offers stunning views as you transition from the dry plains of Bagan to the verdant highlands of Shan State. Upon arrival, you'll have the entire day to discover this new area at your own pace. After checking in at the hotel and dropping off your bags, immerse yourself in the charming rural ambiance. To conclude your day, savor dinner at one of the local restaurants that your guide will be happy to recommend. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 5 INLE LAKE

Start your day by exploring the vibrant market in Nyaung Shwe, where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, and local goods. Afterward, escape the hustle and bustle and board a private motorboat to venture out onto Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most breathtaking destinations. As you glide across the water, you'll pass by stilt villages inhabited by the Intha community and have the chance to witness the renowned leg-rowing fishermen. Look out for their floating gardens, constructed with strips of water hyacinth and mud, secured to the lakebed with bamboo poles.

Next, visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the main religious site of the lake, home to five revered Buddha images adorned in gold leaf. You'll also explore local craftsmanship with stops at silversmith workshops, the traditional weaving village of Inpawkhone, and a cheroot factory, where traditional Burmese cigars are crafted by hand. If time permits, you can enjoy a brief stroll through one of the lakeside villages. While we recommend dining at the hotel, you’re welcome to try the local cuisine at one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 6 NYAUNG SHWE – YANGON

Board the coach for the journey back to Yangon. On the way, you'll make a stop at the Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, renowned for its intricate wood carvings and impressive collection of Buddha images. You have the option to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant during your travels (not included). Once you arrive in Yangon, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. While we suggest dining at the hotel, feel free to explore nearby local restaurants if you're in the mood for some culinary adventure. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 7 DEPRATURE YANGON

Take the opportunity to enjoy your final day in Myanmar at your own pace, whether that means taking a leisurely stroll through Yangon or unwinding at the hotel. When the time arrives, you’ll be transferred back to Yangon International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
