Discover the highlights of Siem Reap on this immersive 4-day tour. Explore the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor Wat and delve into the rich history and stunning architecture of Angkor Thom. Experience the mystical charm of Ta Prohm, known for its jungle-clad ruins, and wander through the vibrant local markets. This tour offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration and relaxation in the heart of Cambodia.
Your adventure begins upon arrival at Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s Angkor Ruins. Upon landing, our guide will be waiting for you in the Arrival Hall, holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred privately to your selected hotel for check-in. After settling in, you have the option to relax at the hotel or venture out to explore the Old Market in the city center at your leisure.
Weather permitting, we can begin the day early to witness the mesmerizing sight of Angkor Wat bathed in the golden hues of sunrise. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast. Our next stop will be the grand South Gate of Angkor Thom, adorned with the serene faces of Avalokiteshvara. We’ll then explore the Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Bayon Temple, located at the heart of Angkor Thom, is renowned for its 49 striking towers, each featuring four smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The Elephant Terrace, with its preserved grandeur, adds to the day's exploration. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the jungle-enshrouded Ta Prohm Temple. Finally, visit Bakheng Temple for a stunning sunset view, a truly memorable experience. The day ends with a delightful Apsara Dinner Show.
Today, we will explore Preah Khan (Sacred Sword), one of the largest temples in Angkor, built in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII. Following this visit, we'll drive to Banteay Srei Temple. On the way, we will stop by local villages to observe traditional practices, such as palm sugar production. Although smaller than many other temples, Banteay Srei stands out with its distinctive color and intricate carvings, making it a must-see. For lunch, you can choose between the Bong Thom home stay (reservation required) or a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will head to the Rolous Group, the ancient capital of King Indravarman I (877–889), known for its foundational role in classical Khmer art and architecture. If time permits, we'll also visit a nearby orphanage school for a brief tour. We will return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
This morning, we’ll switch things up with a change of pace. Our first stop is Khmer Village, where you can take in the scenic rice fields and the charming rural atmosphere. Next, we’ll embark on a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to explore the floating village and witness a unique lifestyle. After lunch, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure to your next destination.
