Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by your guide and driver who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to relax and settle in. Phnom Penh, often referred to as the "Pearl of Asia," showcases a blend of old-world charm and modernity. The city is adorned with remnants of its French colonial past, with beautiful colonial buildings scattered throughout its grand boulevards. As the political and commercial hub of Cambodia, Phnom Penh offers a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.

<span> Day 2 </span>Phnom Penh - Historical Sites and Local Market (Meal: B, L)

After a delicious breakfast, we embark on a captivating tour of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Our first stops include the magnificent Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum, where a remarkable collection of pre and post-Angkor artifacts await. For lunch, we dine at Friends the Restaurant, a unique establishment that supports former street children by providing them with hospitality and restaurant training, helping them transform their lives. In the afternoon, we delve into the dark period of Khmer history as we visit the Tuol Sleng Museum, a former prison used by the Khmer Rouge for detention and torture. We also pay our respects at the Choeung Ek Killing Field, a solemn memorial to the victims. Before the day ends, we explore the vibrant Russian Market, known for its diverse range of goods. To complete the day, we embark on a one-hour boat cruise along the Mekong River, where we witness the enchanting sunset along the riverbank. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

<span> Day 3 </span>Phnom Penh - Siem Reap by Bus - Hotel Check-in (Meal: B)

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at the hotel before we transfer to the Giant Bus for our journey to Siem Reap (without guide). The scenic bus ride takes approximately 5 hours and offers picturesque views along the way. Upon arrival, we pick you up from the bus station and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. En route, we make a stop at the King's Residence to observe the Main Shrine, where locals worship and offer jasmine and lotus flowers. Our next visit is to "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor," where young Cambodians are trained in traditional stone carving and wood sculpting. We then proceed to the lively Psar Chars, also known as the "Old Market," a bustling marketplace where you can find a wide variety of items. Our last stop before reaching the hotel is Wat Bo, a revered pagoda with exquisite wall paintings. At Wat Bo, Buddhist monks will perform a blessing ceremony, wishing you prosperity, happiness, and safety throughout your stay in Cambodia. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Hop aboard a traditional wooden boat and cruise along the Tonle Sap Lake, one of Asia's largest freshwater lakes and fondly known as the "Great Lake" of Cambodia. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the floating village and witness the unique way of life of the local inhabitants. Next, we will visit the "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor," an inspiring workshop dedicated to reviving the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Witness the skill and craftsmanship of young Cambodians as they create intricate pieces of art. Continuing our journey, we will drive to the Pouk district, located approximately 15 km west of Siem Reap. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit a captivating silk farm, where the entire silk production process unfolds before your eyes. From cultivating food for silk worms to silk extraction, refinement, and traditional dyeing techniques, you will gain insight into the meticulous craftsmanship behind this luxurious fabric.
