Receive a warm greeting upon your arrival in Phnom Penh. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy some free time at your leisure. In the afternoon, explore Phnom Penh’s highlights, starting with a visit to Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda perched on a hill. Continue to the Independence Monument and Wat Unalom, the city's oldest Buddhist foundation dating back to the 15th century. Conclude your day with a stroll along the riverfront, where the Tonle Sap, Mekong, and Bassac Rivers converge, offering a refreshing breeze and scenic views.
After breakfast, head to the Royal Palace, the residence of His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal family. Next, explore the Silver Pagoda before embarking on a drive to delve into the historical atrocities of the Khmer Rouge era. Visit the Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison) and the "Killing Fields" of Choeng Ek. Later, stop by the Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), known for its affordable clothing, extensive range of Buddha images, woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and traditional musical instruments.
You will travel to Battambang city, situated 291km northwest of Phnom Penh. Along the way, you'll have opportunities to explore the silver handicrafts at Kompong Luong, visit floating villages, and experience a pottery village. Upon arrival in Battambang, unwind at your hotel before embarking on a Tuk Tuk adventure to visit the Provincial Hall (built in 1907), the culturally rich Watkor village known for its charming ancient wooden houses, and an artisan factory specializing in rice flaky cakes.
Spend the entire day exploring Battambang, the largest city known for its charming colonial-style buildings along the Sangke River. Visit the local market, the 11th-century Ek Phnom Temple, and the Prasat Banon Temple perched on a hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Discover Phnom Sampou before enjoying a thrilling ride on the Nori, also known as bamboo trains, which takes you through picturesque countryside and villages.
Rise early to transfer to Angkor Temple and witness the stunning sunrise. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, drive to explore the jungle-clad Ta Prohm Temple. Next, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, renowned for its grand stone faces, and continue to the Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
