Today, we embark on a fascinating journey to Ben Tre, a serene town nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, located 130 km away (approximately 3 hours drive) from Ho Chi Minh City. Upon reaching Phong Nam pier, we'll board a boat and navigate the picturesque Chet Say River, exploring the captivating Mekong Delta. During our cruise, we'll have the opportunity to visit various workshops and gain insights into the traditional craftsmanship of the region. Coconuts take center stage here, where they are transformed into a myriad of products. Witness the coconut shells being turned into charcoal in high-heat kilns, while other parts are utilized for culinary purposes. Next, we'll traverse a small canal and stop at a local village. Immerse yourself in the authentic local life as we visit a mat weaving house, where skilled artisans create intricate straw mats using hand looms. You can even try your hand at this traditional technique. Afterward, hop on a "xe loi" (a motorized rickshaw) or grab a bicycle to explore a village adorned with lush rice fields and vegetable farms. A sumptuous meal awaits you at a local house, featuring delectable specialties like elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, complemented by refreshing cold drinks or beers. Savor the enchanting scenery during a leisurely sampan ride along a narrow canal before we return to the pier. From there, we'll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City center. Today, you have free time to relax until your transfer to Ho Chi Minh Airport for your flight to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your driver holding a personalized sign. You'll then be transported to your resort in Phu Quoc, where you can indulge in the island's beauty and tranquility. Meals are at your own leisure, and you'll enjoy an overnight stay in Phu Quoc.
