Formed around 200 million years ago, Ba Bể Lake comprises three distinctive zones named Pé Lầm, Pé Lù, and Pé Lèng.
The lake's primary inflows come from three rivers, namely Năng, Tả Han, and Nam Cường, with the Năng river making a majestic entrance through the waterfall known as Đầu Đẳng.
