Itinerary

<span> Day 1</span> Arrive Bangkok

Upon your arrival in Bangkok, you will be greeted and transported to your hotel. Later this evening, join your tour leader or local guide for a welcome drink and a briefing about the upcoming itinerary.

<span> Day 2</span> Bangkok ‘City of Angels’

This morning, we will explore the Grand Palace and the revered Emerald Buddha (Phra Kaeo). Gain insight into Bangkok’s historically renowned river culture with a boat excursion along the Chao Phraya River. In the afternoon, delve into bustling Chinatown and the famous Sampeng Lane. Later in the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner aboard a converted rice barge during a scenic river cruise on the Chao Phraya.

<span> Day 3</span> Bangkok in depth

Today, we will explore Jim Thompson’s House. An American socialite who played a significant role in promoting the Thai silk industry, Jim Thompson constructed his Bangkok residence using structures transported from northern Thailand. Today, the house serves as a showcase of exquisite Thai arts, architecture, and elegant interior design. Additionally, we will visit Wat Pho, Bangkok’s oldest and largest temple, renowned for its impressive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha. Tonight, take advantage of your free time to bid farewell to the vibrant 'City of Angels'.

<span> Day 4</span> Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai

Today, we travel to Kanchanaburi, where you'll find poignant Allied War Cemeteries. We'll explore a war museum and then embark on the renowned Death Railway journey across the Bridge on the River Kwai. Later, visit the compelling Hellfire Pass Museum before returning to our accommodation.

<span> Day 5</span> Ayuthaya & the Mekhala River Barge

Journey eastward and discover the ancient ruins of Ayuthaya, formerly the heart of a dominant and expansive empire. Our itinerary includes a visit to Bang Pa In, the Royal family's summer palace, followed by boarding the charming Mekhala river barge for an overnight cruise to Bangkok. Enjoy a delightful dinner under the stars with delectable Thai cuisine on board before retiring to your comfortable, air-conditioned cabin.

<span> Day 6</span> Bangkok to Chiang Mai

Begin your day early at the riverside mooring to witness monks at Wat Kai Tia conducting their morning prayer rituals. By late morning, we glide into Bangkok and catch a short flight to Chiang Mai, known as the cultural capital of northern Thailand, boasting over 100 monasteries, excellent shopping opportunities, and delightful restaurants. Upon arrival, we acquaint ourselves with the city through a samlor (cyclo) tour visiting some of its most splendid temples. Our itinerary also includes a visit to Doi Suthep monastery, renowned for its tranquility and stunning setting in the hills west of Chiang Mai, making it a revered site in Thailand. This evening, explore the town's array of fine dining establishments or immerse yourself in the vibrant Chang Khlan Road night bazaar, renowned for its exceptional shopping experiences in Asia.

<span> Day 7</span> Thai Style Cooking Class

Today, delve into the art of Thai cuisine with a half-day cooking class where you'll uncover the intricacies of Thai-style cooking. Begin by exploring a local market to select fresh ingredients, then enjoy crafting simple yet delicious recipes. Designed for kitchen beginners, this class promises an enjoyable experience where you can savor the dishes you prepare!

<span> Day 8</span> End of Your Taste of Thailand
