Upon arrival, transfer to the nearby port for an enchanting cruise around the bay. This morning, make your way to the airport for the flight to Saigon, the vibrant commercial hub of Vietnam and a city pulsating with remarkable energy. Witness the evident rapid modernization of Vietnam in this bustling metropolis. In the afternoon, commence a guided walking tour, exploring the iconic landmarks that define Saigon's rich history. Traverse the heart of the city along Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), passing by the distinguished Rex Hotel, Ho Chi Minh Square, Municipal Theatre, and Notre Dame Cathedral. The tour also includes a visit to the Reunification Palace (formerly the Presidential Palace) and the War Remnants Museum. This morning, embark on a journey southward, venturing into the heart of the Mekong Delta. Along the way, observe farmers tending to their fields and drying their produce on the roadside. Upon reaching My Tho, we embark on a boat for a scenic journey along one of the Mekong's principal tributaries. Our stops include visits to islands like Phoenix or Unicorn, where we engage with local farmers and cottage industries, such as a coconut candy factory and a honey farm. Strolling through tropical fruit orchards, we have the opportunity to sample the fresh local produce. Concluding this immersive experience, we board sampans and navigate the narrow canals of the Delta before making our way back to Saigon via My Tho. Arriving in the mid-afternoon, the remainder of the day is at leisure for last-minute shopping or personal exploration.
