Upon your arrival in Bangkok, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Later this evening, join your tour leader or local guide for a welcome drink and an orientation session.
Today, we begin our day with a visit to the Grand Palace and the revered Emerald Buddha (Phra Kaeo). Next, we explore the impressive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, Bangkok's oldest and largest temple. We delve into the historical river life of Bangkok with a boat trip along the Thonburi canals. In the afternoon, we discover the extensive National Museum, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. In the evening, immerse yourself in Bangkok's vibrant night markets and enjoy its diverse array of restaurants.
Our journey takes us to the renowned River Kwai region, known for its lush rainforests and the majestic Kwai Noi River. We pay respects at poignant Allied War Cemeteries before embarking on the historic Death Railway to cross the Bridge over the River Kwai. Later, we explore the intriguing Hellfire Pass Museum before settling into our tranquil riverside resort.
After visiting Hellfire Pass, which is now home to a poignant museum, you'll journey to Kanchanaburi aboard the historic 'Death Railway' train. Cross the iconic 'Bridge over the River Kwai' and visit significant wartime cemeteries.
Journey eastward to explore the ancient ruins of Ayuthaya, once the heart of an expansive empire.
Early this morning, we depart for the journey to Sukhothai, making a stop in Lopburi to observe its playful monkey residents and explore the atmospheric Khmer temple ruins. Continuing onwards, we reach Phitsanulok where we visit a folk museum featuring a captivating collection of rural exhibits.
Explore the ancient capital of Sukhothai by bicycle before continuing your journey to Chiang Rai. Along the way, visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang in Lampang, often considered one of the most magnificent temples in northern Thailand.
From Chiang Rai, you will discover the Golden Triangle, the meeting point of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar (Burma).
Proceed to the Chiang Dao caves, a network of caverns stretching 14 kilometers into darkness. In the afternoon, reach the distinctive Lisu Lodge. This lodge has garnered multiple accolades for its delightful mountain ambiance and its commitment to employing local residents as managers, chefs, and hosts.
Today's journey includes an elephant trek through dense jungle and a bamboo rafting excursion along the river. Depart for Chiang Mai, renowned as the cultural capital of northern Thailand, boasting over a hundred monasteries, excellent shopping opportunities, and delightful dining venues. Explore the renowned night bazaar in the evening.
Familiarize yourself with a samlor tour visiting some of the city's most stunning temples: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang, and Wat Chiang Man. Journey to Doi Suthep Monastery west of Chiang Mai to enjoy its breathtaking views.
