Itinerary

<span> Day 1</span> Arrive Bangkok

Upon reaching Bangkok, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. This evening, gather with your tour leader or local guide for welcome drinks and an overview of the tour.

<span> Day 2</span> Bangkok ‘City of Angels’

This morning, we will explore the Grand Palace and the revered Emerald Buddha (Phra Kaeo). Next, we'll visit the stunning 46-meter reclining Buddha located in Wat Pho, Bangkok’s oldest and largest temple. We’ll also experience a glimpse of the city’s historic river life with a boat trip along the Thonburi canals. In the afternoon, we’ll discover the National Museum, the largest museum of its type in Southeast Asia. As evening falls, enjoy the vibrant night markets and dining options that Bangkok has to offer.

<span> Day 3</span> Bangkok in Depth

We’ll deepen our understanding of Thailand’s vibrant capital by exploring bustling Chinatown and the notorious Sampeng Lane, historically known for its brothels and opium dens. We’ll also visit the stunning Thai-style residence of Jim Thompson. In the afternoon, we’ll ascend the Golden Mount, which was once the tallest point in Bangkok and continues to offer breathtaking panoramic views of this remarkable city.

<span> Day 4</span> Bangkok to the River Kwai

We embark on a journey to the renowned floating markets of Damnoen Saduak, where we’ll enjoy a ride on a traditional sampan boat. Afterwards, we head east to the River Kwai region, known for its lush rainforests and the beautiful Kwai Noi River. We’ll travel by long-tail boat to reach our riverside hotel, immersing ourselves in the serene forest atmosphere.

<span> Day 5</span> River Kwai to Kanchanaburi

Today, we dedicate our time to Hell Fire Pass, which now features a poignant museum honoring the Allied POWs who lost their lives during the construction of the Burma-Siam railway. We’ll travel to Kanchanaburi aboard the 'Death Railway' train, crossing the famous 'Bridge on the River Kwai.' We’ll also visit moving war cemeteries and an intriguing museum.

<span> Day 6</span> Ayuthaya & the Mekhala River Barge

Head east to uncover the ancient ruins of Ayuthaya, which once served as the heart of a vast and influential empire. Later, visit Bang Pa In, the royal family's summer palace, before embarking on the charming Mekhala river barge for an overnight journey back to Bangkok. While on board, indulge in a delightful dinner featuring exquisite Thai cuisine under the stars, before settling into your air-conditioned cabin for the night.

<span> Day 7</span> Chao Phraya River & Jim Thompson’s House

Awake early at your riverside location to witness the monks at Wat Kai Tia engaging in their morning prayers. By late morning, we drift into Bangkok, and after some relaxation at your hotel, we head to Jim Thompson’s House. An American socialite instrumental in promoting the Thai silk trade, Thompson created his Bangkok residence from traditional northern Thai homes. Today, the house serves as an exhibition of exquisite Thai art, architecture, and elegant interior design. Spend your free time this evening bidding farewell to the "City of Angels."

<span> Day 8</span> Sukhothai, Cradle of Thai Culture

This morning, we take a flight to the legendary Sukhothai, recognized as Thailand's first capital and the origin of its renowned cultural elements, such as classical dance, stunning architecture, and delicious cuisine. We'll explore the remnants of this historic city, including the haunting Wat Mahathat. In the evening, stroll into town to experience a lively night market and an amazing food bazaar.

<span> Day 9</span> Sukhothai to the Golden Triangle

We embark on another brief flight, heading to Chiang Mai, then journey northward towards the Golden Triangle. Along the way, we make a fascinating stop at the expansive Chiang Dao Caves, which stretch over fourteen kilometers underground. Additionally, we enjoy a short elephant trek before reaching our luxurious resort by mid-afternoon, where we immerse ourselves in the distinctive ambiance of the surroundings.

<span> Day 10</span> The Golden Triangle

Today, we explore the vicinity where Thailand, Laos, and Burma converge, visiting a border town, the historic capital of Chiang Saen, and the fascinating Hall of Opium. Afterwards, we return to our resort to immerse ourselves in its atmosphere and enjoy optional relaxing massage facilities.

<span> Day 11</span> Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai stands as the vibrant cultural hub of northern Thailand, boasting over 100 monasteries, excellent shopping opportunities, and superb dining establishments. To orient ourselves, we embark on a samlor (cyclo) tour to visit some of the city’s most exquisite temples: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang, and Wat Chiang Man. Furthermore, Chiang Mai serves as the focal point of Thailand’s handicraft industry, prompting us to explore a captivating village renowned for crafting wax paper parasols.

Tonight, we can explore the town’s diverse array of fine dining options or delve into the bustling Chang Khlan Road night bazaar, renowned for offering some of the finest shopping experiences in Asia.

<span> Day 12</span> Chiang Mai & Doi Suthep Monastery

Doi Suthep monastery, nestled in the hills west of Chiang Mai, is renowned as one of Thailand's most tranquil and captivating destinations. It holds a significant place as one of the country's most sacred sites and is a highlight of any journey through northern Thailand. We schedule our visit to Doi Suthep in the morning to enjoy the serene atmosphere before the crowds arrive, and to take in the breathtaking views of Chiang Mai to the east.

On our way back to Chiang Mai, we make a stop at the intriguing hill tribe museum and indulge in Khao Soi soup, a beloved northern Thai specialty.

<span> Day 13</span> Thai-style Cooking Class

Today, discover the intricacies of Thai cuisine through a half-day cooking class, where you'll delve into the secrets of preparing delicious yet straightforward recipes. Designed for beginners in the kitchen, the class promises both enjoyment and the satisfaction of tasting dishes crafted by your own hands. Following the class, take time to unwind at your charming hotel or venture out to explore Chiang Mai during your leisurely afternoon.

<span> Day 14</span> End of Your Thailand Experience

Today, arrangements will be made for your transfer to the airport as you continue your travels.
