Commencing at 8 AM with your hotel pickup, embark on a 6-hour journey to Ha Giang. Experience the transition from the vibrant energy of Hanoi to the tranquility of rural landscapes.
Pause along the route for a brief stroll through local villages. Following lunch at a nearby restaurant, the drive will trace the path alongside the Lo River to Ha Giang city. Spend the remainder of the day meandering through Tay villages, where vibrant rice fields stretch out, adorned with traditional wooden stilt houses topped with palm leaves. Consider unwinding beside a pristine stream. Conclude the day with a local culinary delight for dinner.
Embark on an extensive 17-18km trek to uncover the concealed corners of Ha Giang city. Commencing from a local Tay village, traverse lesser-known paths that wind through untamed forests and enchanting terraced rice fields, ultimately reaching the summit of Tay Con Linh range, the dwelling place of the Yao people. Engage with ethnic students at a local school and pause for a rejuvenating lunch hosted by a Yao family.
Following lunch, embark on a more leisurely descent into the valley. Conclude the nearly 7-hour off-the-beaten-path trek in a Tay village. Subsequently, proceed to Quan Ba district within the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.
Savor the morning by strolling through the Yao people's village to gain insights into their living traditions and culture or partake in sightseeing within the village. Following a 1-2 hour walk, proceed to Dong Van.
Embark on a brief walk to secluded Hmong villages. Wrap up the day with a visit to the historic palace of the Hmong king before arriving in Dong Van. If time allows, undertake a 20-minute walk to the mountain's summit, where a deserted French Fortress offers a splendid vantage point to enjoy the sunset.
Commence the day with a visit to the Dong Van market. If it happens to be Sunday, seize the opportunity to witness the distinctive fair hosted by the Hmong people. Following the market exploration, embark on a mountain ascent to the rim of Nho Que valley, offering breathtaking views of the majestic border mountains with China. The 7-km trek leads to an ancient Tay village featuring remarkable clay houses.
Return to Dong Van town for lunch, followed by a journey to the Ma Pi Leng pass. A 20-minute drive brings you to the trekking starting point of Ma Pi Leng pass. Prepare to be captivated by the extraordinary beauty of this mountainous destination.
Embark on a 3-hour hike to the pass's summit, passing through local Hmong villages, and concluding with a leisurely stroll along the mountain's edge, providing a stunning view of Tu San valley. After a brief pause to admire nature, continue with a 2-hour drive to Yen Minh, passing through Meo Vac.
Rise and shine to the morning, filled with a sense of nostalgia as you bid farewell to this enchanting haven before making your way back to Hanoi.
