Next, we visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which once housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. As we pass the imposing Patuxay Monument, often dubbed the "Arc de Triumph" of Vientiane, we make our way to That Luang Stupa, a national symbol of deep religious significance. Concluding our day with a leisurely walk along the Mekong riverside, we'll witness the breathtaking sunset over the water. Ascending Mount Phousi, we'll reach its peak to discover the sacred gilded stupa, relishing the breathtaking panoramic vistas of the city and the Mekong River. As we descend the mountain, we'll arrive at the renowned Luang Prabang Night Market, a treasure trove of handcrafted textiles and handicrafts by ethnic Lao and hilltribe artisans from the surrounding areas. This morning, we set off on a private boat, gracefully cruising along the serene Mekong River towards the enigmatic Pak Ou Caves. Upon returning to Luang Prabang, we have the option to take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village renowned for its exquisite traditional hand-weaving, or return to our hotel to relish some leisure time at our own pace.
