As you cross the moat and traverse the causeway lined with naga balustrades, you'll enter the main building and ascend through galleries and courtyards to reach the central sanctuary. The magnificent views and exquisite carvings, including the famed celestial dancers known as Apsaras, will captivate you. Don't miss the extensive bas-reliefs on the outer gallery walls, depicting captivating tales from Hindu mythology, like the Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Angkor Wat is breathtaking at any time, but witnessing the sunrise or sunset adds an extra layer of magic. Next, we visit Ta Prohm, a beloved site within the Angkor complex. With much of the jungle still entwined with the temple, it exudes a mystical ambiance, offering a glimpse of how most of the Angkor monuments appeared to early European explorers.
