Continue your morning adventure aboard a motorized boat along the Tien River, where you will witness the picturesque fishing port, stilt houses, boat-building workshops, and the enchanting Dragon, Phoenix, and Unicorn Islets. Cruise through the tranquil Bao Dinh Canal to enter the coconut-rich province of Ben Tre. Experience the "Garden-Pond-Cage" agricultural model and savor the delectable coconut candy and refreshing honey tea. Upon arrival, you will receive a brief introduction and watch an informative video on the remarkable construction of the tunnels and the resilience of the people who survived in these challenging war conditions. Explore the remaining area and tunnel systems, marveling at the ingeniously designed living quarters, including kitchens, bedrooms, and various martial facilities such as storage areas, weapon factories, field hospitals, and command centers that catered to the inhabitants' basic needs. Encounter hidden trap doors and intricate traps strategically placed throughout the labyrinthine tunnels for security purposes during the war. Conclude your visit with a taste of the traditional tea and cassava, the staple food of the guerrillas during this era. Take a break to relax or engage in an optional real shooting gun experience before returning to Saigon. 8:00-8:30 AM: Embark on a captivating exploration of Hanoi City with our knowledgeable guide. 8:45 AM: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda, an ancient pagoda situated on the enchanting Golden Fish Island in West Lake. This sacred site dates back to the 6th century. 9:30 AM: Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you can pay respects to Ho Chi Minh's preserved body and stroll through the serene garden encompassing the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Witness the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Note: Modest attire is required, covering shoulders to knees, when visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum undergoes annual maintenance for at least two months (June 15th - August 15th), but visitors can still take photos and explore the surrounding area. 11:15 AM: Discover the rich cultural tapestry of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. (Note: On Mondays, the Women's Museum will be visited instead, offering unique insights into the lives of Vietnamese women.) 12:45 PM: Delight in a delectable lunch at our restaurant, savoring the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine with eight mouthwatering dishes. 2:00-2:15 PM: Continue the journey with a visit to the Temple of Literature, the country's first university established in the 11th century. 3:15 PM: Proceed to the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, historically used by the French colonists and later by North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, known as the "Hanoi Hilton" to American POWs. 4:15-4:30 PM: Conclude the tour and return to your hotel.
