Following breakfast, hop on a private minibus bound for Sapa, nestled in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains of northwest Vietnam. The journey duration is approximately 5 hours. Once at the central market in Sapa, embark on a brief trek (around 2.5 hours) through the adjacent valleys, leading to the village of Cat Cat. This village is inhabited by the H’mong people, who migrated from China three centuries ago. As the day winds down, make yourself at home in your Sapa hotel for the night.

Indulge in the breathtaking scenery and sweeping vistas of rural Vietnam during a trek from Lao Chai to Ta Van. Traverse terraced farms adorned with corn and rice, cross babbling brooks, and meander through picturesque villages. Take a break for a picnic lunch before continuing to our homestay, where you'll spend the evening with a local family. The overall trek distance today is approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).

Embark on a trek to Su Pan this morning, followed by a relaxing bus ride back to Sapa to give your feet a break. In the afternoon, the group makes the journey back to Hanoi (approximately 5 hours). Discover Vietnam's capital on a guided city walking tour, exploring its gems on foot. Pay respects at the final resting place of Vietnam's revered revolutionary, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and Museum. Continue your journey to the Temple of Literature, a shrine with roots dating back to the 11th century, though the current structure and shrine to Confucius were established in the 18th century. In the afternoon, warm up for your cycling adventure with a practice ride around Hanoi's West Lake.

Along the route, seize the chance to assist local farmers in planting rice seeds. Upon reaching Mai Chau, proceed to the village of Pom Coong, where your local guide will introduce you to your hosts for a traditional lunch. Gain insights into the region's people, customs, and culture. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing break before embarking on a cycling excursion to nearby villages. Return to the homestay, unwind with a refreshing drink, and witness the sun setting over the serene mountains. Following breakfast, resume your cycling adventure from Mai Chau to Ninh Binh, an area renowned for its lush valleys, karst mountains, and protected zones. The cycling journey for the day will encompass approximately 70 kilometers.

In the morning, board a bus from Ninh Binh to Hai Phong and then take a ferry to Cat Ba Island, situated at the southeastern corner of Halong Bay. Lan Ha Bay, where Cat Ba is located, is a component of Halong Bay, featuring numerous pristine white-sand beaches. The overall travel duration today is around five hours. Settle into your serene hilltop lodging and have a leisurely afternoon, whether you choose to relax in a hammock or engage in activities like hiking or visiting the beach.
Embark on a full-day boat excursion to discover the enchanting landscapes and limestone karsts of Lan Ha Bay. Engage in kayaking alongside the tree-covered rock formations, and enjoy lunch onboard the boat. Lan Ha Bay, an extension of Halong Bay's World Heritage site, boasts turquoise waters and traditional junk boats, creating an iconic Vietnamese scene. Feel free to capture the picturesque surroundings with a selfie. Return to Cat Ba for another night, and enjoy the evening exploring local restaurants and bars.
Bid farewell to Cat Ba Island and return to Hanoi, with a journey of approximately five hours. Reach Hanoi in the late afternoon, allowing time for some final souvenir shopping at the markets or a visit to one of the city's museums or historical landmarks.
