Commence your journey upon reaching Vietnam. A dedicated driver will warmly welcome you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel in a private vehicle. Complete the check-in process at the hotel, allowing yourself to recover from any jet lag.

Having explored the city on your own on the first day, return to the hotel for a peaceful night's rest.

Today, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the rich cultural tapestry and historical heritage of Vietnam, all while immersing yourself in the breathtaking landscapes and picturesque vistas as we journey to the Ninh Binh Province. This region is often referred to as the "Ha Long Bay on land" and is situated 80 km to the south of Hanoi.

Morning (8:00 - 8:30): Our guide and driver will collect you from your accommodation in Hanoi Old Quarter, then embark on a coach journey to Hoa Lu (2.5 hrs). Explore the historical capital of Vietnam and the renowned ancient temples of the Le and Dinh Dynasties. Subsequently, our bus will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc for lunch around 12:30 PM.

Afternoon: Following lunch, enjoy a boat trip to Tam Coc, marveling at the enchanting karst formations as you glide along their base and navigate into one of the numerous caves carved through the limestone. Later, embark on a one-hour cycling adventure along serene roads, passing through villages, rice fields, rivers, and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc - Bich Dong (approximately 5 km). Return to Hanoi by drive, and be dropped off at your hotel around 6:00 PM.

<span> Day 3</span> IMMERSE YOURSELF IN HANOI STREET FOOD - COMFORT SLEEP ON TRAIN TO SAPA

<span> Day 4</span> TREKKING THROUGH THE COLOURFUL LAO CHAI VILLAGE

Embark on a 12 km trek, exploring the Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages inhabited by the H’mong minority. Following lunch at a local family residence in Lao Chai or at a nearby riverside drinking shop, continue the hike to Ta Van village of the Dzay community. This is where we will spend the night in a local family's home, offering you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in their daily routines, work, and authentic customs.

<span> Day 5</span> WONDERFUL LAO CHAI - TA VAN SU PAI - NIGHT TRAIN BACK TO HA NOI

Embarking on an 8 km trek to explore two villages inhabited by the Red Dzao and H'mong ethnic groups (Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan). Take in the beauty of a scenic waterfall and cross a charming rattan bridge. Appreciate the picturesque landscapes as you traverse bamboo forests on your way back to the main road, where a bus will be waiting to transport you back to Sapa.

You can hire a taxi or xe ôm (motorbike taxi) from Chau Doc, including waiting time if needed. A Tranquil Countryside with a Dark Past Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes southwest of Chau Doc, the peaceful village of Ba Chuc hides a history of unimaginable horror. In the late 1970s, as Cambodian refugees fled Pol Pot’s brutal regime, the region’s Khmer population swelled. Tragically, the Khmer Rouge pursued them into Vietnam, leaving behind a trail of massacres that still haunt this area today. The Ba Chuc Memorial: Remembering a Tragedy At the heart of the village stands a solemn memorial honoring the 3,157 victims of one of the worst massacres in Vietnamese history. Between April 18 and April 30, 1978, Khmer Rouge forces slaughtered nearly every resident, often in brutal and inhumane ways. Shockingly, only two villagers survived the bloodshed. The memorial structure, though simple in design, leaves a powerful impact. The movement was founded by Huynh Phu So, a visionary spiritual leader whose life story is deeply intertwined with the sect’s teachings. Origins and Core Beliefs Huynh Phu So, a frail child, was placed under the care of a reclusive monk, where he studied both traditional Buddhist teachings and mystical spiritual disciplines. In 1939, at the age of 20, he experienced a profound trance, during which a new form of Buddhism was revealed to him. Upon awakening, he was miraculously cured of his lifelong illness and began preaching his unique spiritual philosophy. Hoa Hao Buddhism promotes a stripped-down approach to worship, rejecting elaborate rituals, temples, and intermediaries such as monks and priests. Instead, it emphasizes direct personal communication with the Supreme Being. The faith also upholds strict moral values, discouraging alcohol, drugs, and gambling.
