The first stop on your itinerary is Hoa Lu, where you will visit two temples constructed to honor the emperors Dinh Le, their sons, and the Queen. Through this visit, you will learn about why Hoa Lu was established as the capital of Vietnam in the late ninth century. At noon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring delicious traditional cuisine. After lunch, board a small sampan to visit Tam Coc, which means "three caves" and is a 1.5-hour boat trip. Tam Coc offers stunning views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as serene countryside landscapes like peaceful streams, rice paddies, and deserted green fields.
