Discover the vibrant floating market in Cai Be, perfect for capturing stunning photos. Then, disembark to explore the French Gothic Cathedral and the lively port area. Enjoy lunch while cruising towards Vinh Long, the Mekong Delta’s second-largest city. Upon arrival, visit the bustling afternoon market and take a scenic boat ride. Return to the boat for dinner and a traditional Mekong folk dance performance.
Sadec served as the backdrop for Marguerite Duras's novel, The Lover. During your guided tour of the area, you will have the opportunity to visit the House of Huynh Thuy Le, now referred to as the ‘The Lovers’ Museum’. You'll also see the school where Marguerite's mother taught and view Marguerite's former home from across the river. In the afternoon, you will reach Tan Chau, a quaint and isolated town located on the primary branch of the Mekong River.
Tan Chau is well-known for its silk production, and during your visit, you might want to visit a traditional silk-making workshop. The town is also celebrated for its rattan mat craftsmanship. After returning to the boat, you’ll have lunch while cruising towards the border. In the afternoon, the Executive Chef will host a cooking demonstration in the Saigon Lounge. Later, the boat will cross into Cambodia and proceed towards the capital, Phnom Penh.
Once hailed as the most beautiful of the French-built cities in Indochina, Phnom Penh is now in the process of rebounding from its challenging history. You will spend the day exploring the city's highlights on an extensive sightseeing tour. In the evening, enjoy dinner aboard your vessel while being entertained by a traditional Khmer musical performance.
In the early morning, the boat will set sail towards the lesser-known village of Chong Koh. After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing walk through this village renowned for its silk weaving. Return to the vessel and proceed to Prek K’dam, where you'll embark on an afternoon excursion to Oudong. From Oudong, travel to Kompong Tralach to explore Wat Kompong Tralach Pleu. Complete your tour with a charming ox-cart ride to the Tonle Sap River, passing through picturesque countryside filled with vibrant rice paddies, quaint villages, and welcoming locals.
Today, you'll embark on a classic river journey through the floating villages of the region, offering a unique view of life on the Tonle Sap River. As the day progresses, you'll reach the expansive Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia's largest. During the tour, you'll visit one of the many floating villages, some of which feature schools, health clinics, and even floating pig farms. After your exploration, return to the boat to enjoy farewell cocktails and a final dinner.
This morning, you will reach Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor Temples. After a short break, your local guide will escort you to the Roluos Temple Complex, believed to be the site of Hariharalaya, the first capital of the Khmer Empire located north of the Tonle Sap.
